huskers1
I know this doesn't have to do with husker football, but I was just curious to see if anyone watched the end of the game. Oregon's rb Blount punched this guy in the face then tried to fight his own teammate. Frost had to hold him back and escort him to the locker room while along the way Blount tried fighting the fans so like two more players and a couple security guards had to hold him back. Just curious on your thoughts. Quote Link to comment
HUSKER 37
Just watching the BSU/Oregon game end with Oregon's TB (Blount?) out of control..Hitting a taunting Boise player, then going after the crowd..restrained by some Oregon coach named Scott Frost? Really a non story, but it was a little interesting hearing his name again. Quote Link to comment
HuskerJosh
Oregon and the Pac-10 both suck. I hope that piece of **** is suspended. Scott, join a real program. Quote Link to comment

Kinda looked like that Boise guy deserved a shot in the mouth, I wouldn't be surprised if Petersen even told him "you deserved that" you could see Petersen was mad at him and going at him BEFORE Blount threw the punch. Still, I don't know what a person can say that would be so bad that you just want to attack everyone? Still I was glad that I watched all the ending stuff lol. Also, maybe it was just Oregon, but I like Boise's hardnosed style running. Really just their offense as a whole is fun and unpredictable. Anyone else feel like watching that game that Oregon only had about 3-4 plays in their entire playbook? Quote Link to comment

I think this will be a great job for Frost..nice stepping stone at least. Probably lucky the Ducks didn't crash on the smurfy pond. Quote Link to comment

That a$$ needs to be kicked off the team....not only did Oregon look terrible in the game...but tht post game punch...wrestling with guys from your own team, then wrestling with what seemed to be fans and a coach (Ol' Frosty)...just pathetic.....Oregon...hope you have a 0-13 season. chamrocck
My thoughts are a nice heads up by Frost to keep Blount from making this really bad if he had gone into the crowd. This Blount guy may merit a dismissal from the team. As for the game, I liked Boise St. over Oregon anyway. No way were the Ducks going to beat them on the Blue Turf with Oregon under a first year head coach. I always like the way Boise plays. I am amazed at how good a job their O-line did in protecting their QB. Boise pretty much had their way with the Ducks on both offense and defense. Oregon has an interesting offense but it can definitely be exposed like tonight. I don't think the Ducks defense is all that good...Boise should have scored more but made some mistakes. I have never thought that their D-Coordinator Nick Aliotti was ever that good. No way should Nebraska lose defensive recruits to Oregon. Quote Link to comment

Yeah I'm not siding with Blount, I'm just saying that the other guy wasn't so innocent either. When did he say that? camera caught it? I saw the whole game except for I was on the phone at the very beginning and I missed one or two possessions in the third. If I'm Boise, why do you have to say anything? You dominated up front both ways the whole game. Quote Link to comment

HUSKER 37
LeGarrette Blount punches out opponent after embarrassing loss By Matt Hinton Thursday's season-opening loss at Boise State was the worst possible scenario for Oregon in every way: The vaunted Ducks offense was lethargic, ineffective, impotent and any other synonym you can imagine for "really bad," held to a meager eight points and 150 total yards in a deflating loss that could send the entire season careening off the tracks. And no Duck was more disappointing in the loss than LeGarrette Blount: The senior running back, last seen hurtling over and through Oklahoma State defenders in a breakout Holiday Bowl performance last December, finished with –5 yards on eight carries and was dropped in the end zone for a safety in the second quarter. A frustrating night, for sure, especially for a guy who spent the week before the game leading the nation in trash talk. But "frustration" does not quite describe Blount's reaction after the game as well as "psychotic flip-out" directed at anyone and everyone in his general vicinity: Blount has returned from one suspension already this year, an academic issue that kept him out of spring practice. But cold-cocking an opposing player, taking a swipe at a teammate and attempting to head into the stands after opposing fans is another animal entirely: Blount will certainly be suspended for the foreseeable future, if not the rest of his senior season, and could plausibly be hit with assault charges if Boise State or local authorities were feeling especially vindictive about it. At any rate, his very promising future at the next level is -- to use a technical, "insider" term -- kaput. The hero of the fracas: Oregon assistant and former Nebraska star Scott Frost, the quick-reacting blonde dude who saved a Bronco fan from the fate of Byron Hout on the field. General rule of thumb: When your night ends with you being restrained by an ad hoc coalition of authority figures and security guards, you have had a very, very bad night. As a Duck, at least, Blount may not have many left. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=809oIybpH7E 809oIybpH7E Yo mama's so fat that when she fell in love she broke it Yo mama's is so fat she drives a spandex car Yo mama's so fat, she put on a Malcolm X T-shirt and a helicopter tried to land on her Yo mama's so fat, she held up her stockings with hula-hoops. mwj98
It was definitely inexcusable for Blount to hit the other guy. But, damn I can't help to wonder what was said to him. In either case it really doesn't matter. Fact is, win with dignity, lose with pride. The one thing I hate about college football is how the fans get outta control. It's one thing to cheer for your team, it's another to go after the other team. Colorado fans are the worst. Maybe Boise State fans could have acted differently, who knows. But after all, it's part of the game. Our fans over the years may be a little "less rowdy", but that is what makes them the best fans in the country. Quote Link to comment
