dylan Posted December 13, 2009 Share Posted December 13, 2009 whats the diff between an official visit and unofficial? official visit allows the school to pay some expenses (travel, lodging, etc.), whereas an unofficial is just the student visiting on his own to check things out. pretty sure both the school and the prospects are limited in the number of officials they can use, whereas that is not so for unofficials. also, i would guess that the official visits are a lot more scripted as far as meeting with different people and departments, though i'm sure that we try to accomplish many of the same things with both types of visits.
