predictionking
If we want to run the football, Cody Green is probably the future. But, you could argue Taylor's HS film, exploits and talents against better competition were far more impressive. I'd be interested to see him get a fair shake behind center. Quote Link to comment
darkhorse85
I don't like the fact that Taylor played at three different high schools. Sounds like Witt to me. Quote Link to comment
Alex 4.0
He is still practicing at QB. Running the scout team offense. I have heard comments about his "character", but I think a lot of that has been cleaned up... He has potential to be a great player. Hopefully we can get an opportunity to see what he is made of. CornBall
I didn't even think Zac Taylor had any eligibility left. If he did you can bet he'd be on the field. Quote Link to comment
AF Husker Fan
they're talkin about taylor martinez ^^^^^^^^^^ Quote Link to comment
cscott2win
I think folks forgot about him. What we have isn't much so I'm betting the door is open to any possibility. The last thing we need is another so so qb on scolarship. Glad Gabbert freed up another spot. Quote Link to comment
Pedro Guerrero
I didn't know that we gave Scout Team Qb's nicknames now-a-days. Franchise? Really? Quote Link to comment

Has he been watching too much of MTV's new hit reality series, 'Jersey Shore'? Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
I was very happy when he signed because the kid is a winner. But did he really play against better competition than Green? Debatable. Quote Link to comment
HuskerTrucker
I am kind of concerned about some of the comments from Gabbert when he de-committed. I think he had a good point when he stated that he thought Nebraska was showing that they are going to an I-back formation instead of the west coast spread. I am not so much concerned about us going to the I-back or even an option type offense, but I think the coaches need to be clear on what direction they are going to take the program so that they can recruit the right people, including QB's. IF we are truly going to become more of a run type offense again, they also better start recruiting heavily on the beef up front to block for it. IF we are going to an I-Back or option type offense in the long run, I like the chances of Cody Green with his athletic ability...however, I have seen little of Taylor Martinez so it is hard for me to judge him or anyone else that we haven't seen. I do NOT like what I have seen from Lee and his running ability to this point, but will also give that he really had no blocking up front and that may just be a testament to how good Helu can be with blocking. We may have another very interesting Spring Game coming up.... Quote Link to comment

Danimal
If we don't get a qb this class TayMart is actually in good position to be a future starter, for a season anyway. Quote Link to comment

I was hoping he meant Steve Taylor.. Watch the '86? where he lit them up with 4-5 TD passes in the 1st half.. For some reason, Cody Green reminds me of Steve. bfxxYRQvJbw Quote Link to comment
