What time does it start today? Is it on the NFL Network?

It started a while ago and it is on the NFL network. You can also watch it online.

Suh did 32 on the bench press (tied for 6) and had an unofficial 4.98 in the 40. That's all I know as of now.

Wow. The 4.98 is quite good! Nicely done. The 32 reps seems like an off day actually --- expected more like 35-37. Not bad though.

A 4.64 for Dillard is also quite good.

I'll admit I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, so maybe some of my Husker brethren can help me out here. I'm seeing lots of press talking about how McCoy has overtaken Suh as the sexy #1 overall pick, and over and over they're citing McCoy's superior pass rushing ability as the reason. The consensus seems to be that McCoy is better at wreaking havoc in the passing game while Suh is more gifted in stopping the run, and since the NFL is pass-happy, McCoy is the sexier pick.

But the stats don't support that. Here are both guys stats:

SUH
Year	Team	TT	Solo	Ast	TFL	Sack	PDef	INT	FF	FR	Hurr	BK	TD
2006	NU	19	12	7	8	3½	0	1	1	0	2	0	0
2007	NU	34	22	12	6	1	2	0	0	1	4	1	0
2008	NU	76	39	37	19	7½	3	2	1	0	7	2	2
2009	NU	85	52	33	24	12	10	1	1	0	28	3	0
Career	TOT	214	125	89	57	24	15	4	3	1	41	6	2

McCOY
Team TT	Solo	Ast	TFL	Sack	PDef	INT	FF	FR	Hurr	BK	TD
2007	OU	19	10	9	6½	2	0	0	1	1	6	0	0
2008	OU	30	14	16	11	6½	2	1	0	0	2	0	0
2009	OU	34	25	9	15½	6	2	0	1	1	10	0	0
Career	TOT	83	49	34	33	14½	4	1	2	2	18	0	0

It's not like these are even close, either. Sure, McCoy played one less year than Suh, but even comparing each guy's Junior year it's clear Suh has the better statistics:

Suh
Year	Team	TT	Solo	Ast	TFL	Sack	PDef	INT	FF	FR	Hurr	BK	TD
2008	NU	76	39	37	19	7½	3	2	1	0	7	2	2

McCoy
Year	Team	TT	Solo	Ast	TFL	Sack	PDef	INT	FF	FR	Hurr	BK	TD
2009	OU	34	25	9	15½	6	2	0	1	1	10	0	0

Help me out here, guys. How is it that McCoy is generating this buzz? Is it all some big put-on?

I'm hoping it's just to generate buzz and stir the pot. There is really no comparison between the two. They're both extremely good, but Suh was phenomenal last year, dominating in almost every single game. His Vtech, Missouri, and Texas games especially were outstanding, and I don't recall McCoy being mentioned in the Heisman talk let alone being invited. Suh's senior year speaks for itself in my opinion and was far better than McCoy's.

And I don't want to judge because I haven't seen much of McCoy, but the interview he did yesterday made him seem less than bright. Suh is also a very smart person who makes good judgments. I don't see one area where McCoy is better.

Dillard just ran a 4.64 40yard dash.

Wow, what do you know. He's faster than Nate Swift.

On the track, without pads, and in a best vs. best track number... yes. On the field, which is tough to measure, but Swift was faster, no doubt. That said, Dillard can move quite well indeed.

Liked the fact that Suh did more reps than McCoy.

He did, but he did not blow the top off of anything by any means. Suh's 32 reps is somewhat impressive but not overly so --- 37 or better is required before anyone jumps up and down and it takes 40+ before anyone is blown away. So... Suh did pretty well but not much more.

McCoy, on the other hand, did very poorly. Strength and/or stamina (lack thereof in terms of upper body strength) could be a concern for McCoy at the next level (if his lift is a proper indication). I have lifted with 185 pound guys who could stick more than 23 reps --- and when I was at NU (back in graduate school and 25 years old) I weighed 163 pounds and did 19 reps at 225 and several my size out lifted me. So... the point here is that McCoy was really unimpressive at 23 reps (I'd guess he weighs 300 or nearly so, so anything under 28-29 is somewhat questionable).
