husker_99
It never mattered if Watson got the HC at Miami of Ohio. Wats just needed to be fired period. Last night removed any doubt about that. If he keeps Wats for next year i hope he is prepared to get his ass kicked almost every game. Quote Link to comment
bshirt
The SW apologists have posted Saban and others wanting the mighty SW thousands of times. Now that "everybody" knows he'a available (cheap!) where's the offers? Quote Link to comment
Redman
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I guess I saw this coming. Last night was not exactly a "hire me" performance from SW. Quote Link to comment

Now that "everybody" knows he'a available (cheap!) where's the offers? I've been out of the loop for a while now with regards to any rumors or hub bub in Lincoln, but I came across a bit today. I was told that Watson has lost like 15 pounds this season due to stress and regardless of any outcomes wants the heck out of Lincoln. If this is true, everyone will get their wish because he doesn't want to be the OC here next year. Quote Link to comment

huskers1
While I really don't like hearing that Wats is so stressed that he's losing that much weight, that's the business that he's in. He's known since he came here that NU is a very high pressure job and only winning matters. I do hope we go a different direction but I wish him luck in the future. Quote Link to comment
irafreak
So obviously Miami waited to see the performance. Mich state still has to play so they weren't waiting until after the bowl season to announce. Quote Link to comment
junior4949
The word I get though is winning really wasn't why. He spent too much of his time counseling players trying to convince them to stay on the team after they got their a$$es chewed constantly by the higher ups. Again, this is just a rumor coming out of Lincoln that may or may not be true. Quote Link to comment

Ive said it before and i'll say it again. Until Pelinis' attitude starts affecting recruiting, its a non issue. We have a pretty good recruiting class this year...and no ones transfered in ahwile soooooo...idk? Quote Link to comment
creekchubb
Shoot, we could have thrown in mart if they would have taken Wats Quote Link to comment
