All he would be able to say publicly is, "Yes, there are some offensive openings, I'm not going into specifics, but we intend to have those openings filled soon." And since we basically already know that, it's no big deal. If anything, I'm disappointed that Bo isn't reading Huskerboard. Your "there are no offensive openings" line isn't going to work on us, coach! Im just frustrated he doesnt just state the obvoious. I wouldnt so get worked up about it. I think Miami(OH) came open the week before our game and then was closed a couple of days after. Those are really the only 2 I can remember that Watson was really in the running for. I'm a Die-hard husker fan, and also a Miami Dolphins fan, This quote reminds me of the coaching crap the Fins went through this year. I mean, they searched for a new Head Coach while Sparano(the current head coach) was still under contract AS the head coach. And I agree, with you. Except for the fact that Miami KEPT Sparano after getting spurned by the other coaching candidates. Everyone and their dog knows there is an offensive opening, especially when WE CAN SEE A JOB OPENING ONLINE! Yet he continues to say there are no openings.
