At what point does Owa begin to REALLY regret his choice?

Recommended Posts

Wonder if Owa is beginning to regret his decision yet? If not, I bet he does soon.

"We were fired up after [Neuheisel's] recruiting haul from his first three seasons, and encouraged by his second season, which included a bowl victory over a well-coached Temple program. However, we now have serious questions," the editors of the blog Bruins Nation wrote in an e-mail. "The 4-8 season -- lowlighted by conservative and cowardly coaching -- in his third year did not meet our minimum expectations, and was capped off with the program apparently mired in a dysfunctional process of putting together a new staff."

On Feb. 15, 59 days after firing defensive coordinator Chuck Bullough, Neuheisel finally announced he'd hired former Cincinnati (2007-08) and USF ('09)coordinator Joe Tresey as a replacement. The fact that Neuheisel's hire spent last season as the secondary coach for the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks only heightened the sense of desperation surrounding UCLA football these days.

"It was the clearest indication yet that Rick Neuheisel's peers viewed the Bruins as a sinking ship they didn't want to board," wrote San Jose Mercury News columnist Jon Wilner.

The kid made a decision......people in general regret decisions all the time---heck, I'm regretting eating the last of the pigs-in-a-blanket at dinner already.

I can just wish him the best

Certainly. I do wish him the best, and this is more of an empathetic post than a gloating post. Kid made a decision he felt was best for him and his family, and it's going to turn out poorly. I can't feel good about that.

There are 30 of him that went to Texas and won 5 last year. 30 more signed up this year. I guess you could also say that Marlon Lucky wished he had stayed in California. Burkhead came to Nebraska and other than Baylor they can't beat any team from texas. Wonder if he regrets his choice?

Nebraska beat Texas last year. No we didnt beat Texas + the 4 Texas referees, but we did beat Texas

Every time Texas scored, they had aid from the referees. Their very first touchdown, the drive got sustained by a poor call. Eric Hagg did not lay a finger on a Texas receiver, yet a flag was thrown b/c he didnt look back at the ball. If you're going to get that picky with the rules, u have to call Texas' o-line for holding 2, yet not 1 holding call the entire game. Later in that drive, Colt McCoy was given a touchdown yet the replay shows indisputable evidence that his knee was down before the ball crossed the plane.

Texas' second field goal was sustained by another poor call call which wouldve forced them to punt. PI (maybe it wasnt PI, but it was some BS call) was called on a ball thrown 20 yards out of bounds.

The horsecallar called on Larry Asante was questionable at best. Finally, the extra second put back on the clock. #1 Big XII rules specifically prohibit reviews of the game clock. #2 indisputable evidence is required to overturn a call. The referees were unable to review the OFFICIAL game clock, so they reviewed the ABC Superimposed clock. There is no indisputable evidence that the ABC superimposed clock was in sync with the official game clock.

Also, on the final field goal, Suh was flat out tackled by the Texas O-line, yet no holding call. But they'll call petty penalties on Nebraska like the 1 called on Hagg for not looking back even though he didnt lay a finger on Texas' receiver. The officiating was not unbiased, Texas was shown blatant favoritism. All 4 referees were natives of Texas, the head official was a graduate of UT.
