knapplc
I am so stoked about this win, for so many reasons, not the least of which is that we avoid a two-week session of self-destruction. It would have been ugly around here if we hadn't pulled that out. Happy bye week, everyone. Let's enjoy it! Quote Link to comment
Enhance
I probably would not have come on Huskerboard but once before the Minnesota game, tbh. It would have been a nightmare on here. Quote Link to comment
Malth
Oh yes, it would have been very ugly. This was a must win situation, and I'm very pleased that they pulled it out. Did they turn a corner? Let's hope so... Quote Link to comment
bshirt
It would have been horrible beyond belief. Whew!! Quote Link to comment

Chaddyboxer
THAT GAME WAS EPIC!!!! I am so proud of this NEB team. This is the team I really wanted the Huskers to beat....and they did! Thank Jesus! lol WOW! That was a nail biter, but it also showed the adversity, heart, resiliance, tenacisty of our team!!! I don't know if I spelled tenacisity right....but FU#$ it!!!! CELEBRATE HUSKER FOOTBALL FANS!!! We just witnessed history. I consider this just as important and memorable if we would have blown them out. This is a defining moment in Husker history. I am actually glad the team came back...I wouldn't have had the game played out any other way....this just shows you this team is there for eachother. I am really glad I bleed scarlet and cream regardless of how the season pans out, even though I would love NEB to do well. Heres a little something to cap it all off: "I don't know what to say really. I mean, three minutes till the biggest battle of our professional lives; all comes down to today. Well, we either we heal as a team or we'll gonna crumble. Inch by inch, play by play, till we're finished. We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And, we can stay here and get the sh#t kicked out of us; or we can fight our way back; into the light. We can climb out of hell. One inch at a time. Now I can't do it for you. I'm to old. I look around and i see these young faces and I think. I made every wrong choice a middle-aged man can make. I pissed away all my money, believe it or not. I chased off anyone who has ever loved me. And lately, I can't even stand the face I see in the mirror. You know, when you get old in life; things get taken away from you. That's part of life. But you only learn that when you start losing stuff. You find out life's this game of inches. So is football. Because in either game life or football the margin for error is so small. I mean one half step too early or too late and you don't quite make it. One half a second too slow or too fast and you don't quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break of the game; every minute every second. On this team, we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches, that's what gonna make the f'ing difference between winning and losing. Between living and dying. I'll tell you this in any fight, it's the guy who's willing to die who's gonna win that inch. And I know if I'm gona have any life anymore. It's because I'm still willing to fight and die for that inch. Because that's what living is. The six inches in front of your face. Now I can't make you do it. You have to look at the guy next to you. Look into his eyes. Now i think your ginna see a guy who will go that inch with you. Your gonna see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team because he knows when it comes down to it; your gonna do the same for him. That's a team gentlemen. And, either we heal, now as a team, or we will die as individuals. That's football guys. That's all it is. Now, what are you gonna do ?" Quote Link to comment

zoogs
This was a very, very important win. A loss could have been very damaging. I think this win is going to end up being a huge turning point in this season. What odds we faced to pull it out. What a game! Quote Link to comment
