Hoosker
Rex is just awesome. In every way. He runs hard, he's selfless and always thanks his linemen, and most importantly, he represents the University the way it's supposed to be represented. Good grades, no off the field incidents, and always gives it 110%. I'm truly going to miss him when he graduates. Probably more than any other player since Eric Crouch (and Suh of course). BigWillie
After last week, and then on Saturday, I think it is unquestionable that Rex and Lavonte are the two leaders on this team. Rex leads more by example than talking, but he was definitely more vocal last week and it paid off for a few players. I knew Rex would bring a great leadership quality to this team when we recruited him, but he continues to exceed the high expectations I had for him. If his playing career ever fails, Rex is going to have a LONG career as a football coach, if he chooses to go that route in his life. Quote Link to comment

Crouch was great, obviously...but a crybaby. His mannerisms with NU and beyond show this. Rex won't win a Heisman and he already is a better Husker in my book. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Just an update on Jack...............great news from the sounds of it. Article below. http://www.huskers.com//ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=205314182 Quote Link to comment
1Huskernation
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jackhoffman Can't help but be touched by Jack and his family. I have downloaded the CaringBridge app, and now get updates automatically to my phone. It is obviously Jack has picked up MANY caring fans, and a lot of that is due to Rex. Best of luck to both of them. Quote Link to comment
Hammerhead
So proud that Rex chose to come play for the Huskers. Great athlete and an all-around good person. Glad to hear things are going well for Jack. Being positive really does make a difference. Quote Link to comment
Cina
It's nice to see a player that Husker fans can be proud of on all levels--not just the "Yeah, he murdered six babies but he's the #3 passer in the nation" that we're used to seeing lately. I bet he smells good too. What, too much? Quote Link to comment

BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Channel 7 did a follow up tonight. Jack is doing well after his surgery. It is a heart warming story. Quote Link to comment
lionsfan93
The guy is an overall stud. I was looking at some numbers today, and, free of injuries of course, Rex should finish in the top 5 for all-time rushers. If he has 500 more yards this year and 1100 next year, that would put him at number 2! Quote Link to comment
