Danny Bateman
Thinking about this... It would seem we would definitely want Iowa to win this game. On the other hand, one potential downside would be that a loss could tick off Michigan. They have a gimme at Illinois next week (well, maybe...), and then head back home for us. I guess of course we really want the Hawks to win, but I'd really prefer Michigan does not come out with their hair on fire the week they play us. Quote Link to comment
Mulletpelini
Is it me or does DRob seem to get nicked a lot? Is it an issue of toughness? I've seen Martinez play through alot of different things. I'll never question that kids toughness. Just seems like DRob spends alot of time on the sidelines the last two seasons. Sub-Husker
WTF?? We must be watching a different game. WTF?? We must be watching a different game. Fast runner but inaccurate with a tendency to fumble. Quote Link to comment
OmahaPlaya
24-9 Iowa winning this game is getting away from Michigan. Quote Link to comment
austintxhusker
Go Hogeyes! (I went to college with a bunch of kids from Iowa and I always teased them using this substitute!) What I can't believe is that Minnesota is beating Michigan State 17-14! Love it! AND Ohio State and Indiana are TIED 13-13!!! Where'd you go to college ladyhawke? And as far as Minnesota goes... not no more. They gave up a full field drive to Sparty to end the half down 17-21. Their defense is a total Let's hope Cousins finds a way to give this one away. Minnesota is back on top! Quote Link to comment

Fast runner but inaccurate with a tendency to fumble. So, if Tmart fixed his throwing motion this is what "he could become"??? Wow....DRob is great talent but he's having a "horrible" game. Tmart already has had a boatload of games wayyyyyyy, way better than this one. Quote Link to comment
Haspula
Iowa is actually good now? Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
Denard Robinson looks like what Taylor Martinez could become if he fixed his throwing motion. Again I say, why in the holy hell do people think Robinson is so much better than Martinez? It gets stated over and over again on this forum. Their stats are almost identical. Robinson Passing: 53.5% 11 TD 11 Int 1325 yards Rushing: 127 for 779 yards Martinez Passing: 54.9% 8 TD 7 Int 1256 yards Rushing: 122 for 659 yards 1 Quote Link to comment
OmahaPlaya
More like Michigan is just not focused enough. Quote Link to comment

He has become a good game manager, more so than D-rob. Quote Link to comment
bshirt
Haha....I feel bad for Iowa's qb. Oh boy, the Hawkeye's wrs look like NU's wrs the last couple of years.....dropped passes everywhere. Quote Link to comment

A couple of observations... - Martinez has a better surrounding cast. - Robinson has a better throwing motion, and is a more accurate passer. - Robinson appears to be more fragile. - I to, would rather have Martinez. More fragile? I think he lacks mental toughness. Robinson is a drama queen. Every time he is playing poorly he starts acting hurt. I've seen athletes do it before. Pretty obvious.
