It sucks to see us so deep in the B1G cellar. But at this point I can't deny it. Come on B-ballers, win a couple damnit!

^^ I think Rosie has Illinois a bit high. I'd put the Illini down around 7th or 8th. Also, I'd move NU up to 11th after we beat Penn State tomorrow night. ;)

Probably going to happen, but JBD continues to have foot issues.............

The best bet is for the assistants to kidnap Doc with 2 minutes left and lock him in the privy...............

I'm hoping Doc gets called for a technical foul with a couple minutes left, and gets tossed out of the game. Getting everyone fired up before he is escorted to the lockerroom.

Seriously though, I feel bad for Doc. You just can't lay all this crap that's happened on his doorstep. // I DON'T mean for this to turn into a bashing Doc thread.

I agree you can't lay it ALL at his feet, (injuries for sure), but certainly he has to accept some of the blame.

Too many instances in late game situations over the years where we either can't even in-bound the ball or fail to get a shot off or something weird to occur to all be purely coincidental.

And, as a number have continually stated.................it's tough because everyone LIKES Doc..................that makes it tough to criticize............

Yeah, that's what makes it tough for me. I like Doc. I think for the most part he's a good coach. But I just can't find any evidence to back it up.

He does a number of things I like.........i.e....his practices are open for the most part (and I've gone a watched a few); he is reportedly a tireless recruiter; gets along well with the other coaches in all sports; very open and complimentary to the fans; and an interesting interview (if you can overlook the fractured syntax).

He has proven on occasion he can coach. A few years ago with the smallest team in Div 1, he probably did as fine a job as anyone could have (including the "name coaches").....................but the bottom line is he is simply not getting it done on a consistent basis...........and his offensive style makes it difficult for a crowd to stay in it so we don't have much of home court advantage either ......................

Guess we'll see how this plays out, but it looks to be another long year...............................and at some point, T.O. will have to stop the bleeding because there is too much invested in facilities to have an excuse anymore.

Read through the thread and i think the concensus is that SADler is a nice guy (you know the ones that finish last) and that its not all his fault that we stink. After six years I don't really see any progress and we are now in a conference that takes basketball seriously. I'm tired of rooting for other teams this time of year. C-Bear and I cheered for Kansas when Henrich played, Duke when JJ Redick was there and North Carolinea when Psycho T was playing. I want the Huskers to be worth watching and I dont see that happening while SADler is coach. The DOCtor needs to be out.

Illinois players must have read your post cause they played lights out tonight.

@TO Bull: How can you root for Duke one season and UNC another? They are mortal enemies. And you must love white basketball players :)
