knapplc
I like to see that he's arm-in-arm with the Iranian. Political BS aside, the Regular Joes in Iran (and everywhere else that's "bad") are, for the most part, just like the Regular Joes in America. Sports can be a great equalizer. Anyway, Jordan walking off with his Gold: Quote Link to comment

GSG
Anybody see Jordan get interviewed by the hose on NBC Sport Network tonight? He said the football team is going to be good because "We got T-Magic, Taylor Martinez, man. He's good." (not a direct quote, trying to find the video) Quote Link to comment
Omaha-Husker
NBC isn't showing the volleyball match live today. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
Wow...Mexico up 2-nill against Brazil in the Men's Soccer gold medal match. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Really, really early in the match, but USA looking good so far vs. Brazil. Up 6-1. Depth should be a key in this match, and you have to like America's depth off the bench. No letup when we bring our subs in. EDIT - 9-3, USA. Quote Link to comment

beanman
f#*k yourself NBC. Your coverage of the Olympics has been nothing short of pathetic. Maybe some more social media updates next time eh? Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
US wins men's 10m platform diving in one of the best finals I've seen in a long, long time. China gets second and Great Britain does an amazing job and takes the bronze. Edit - Also, in case anyone didn't know, not showing certain events live is a money thing. They're concerned it would eat into their prime time ratings, thus costing them money, etc. Whether it's "right" or not, like it or not, that's the environment our system brings. I suggest making sure you can watch the live streaming for the following Olympics if you want to actually see it live, because stuff like this will not change. Quote Link to comment

China gets second and Great Britain does an amazing job and takes the bronze. I haven't seen it. That must have been simply phenomenal. Boudia came out of nowhere, didn't he? Qiu Bo dominated the prelims and semifinals with machine-like efficacy, and he upped his score for the final. And Boudia topped even that, after having to battle to make it there (I think). I think the NBC coverage has been extremely lackluster. For all their promise of FREE coverage, there are a good number of cable TV services that aren't adequate enough to qualify. It's nuts. I haven't been able to catch anything basically. What I wish they would do is offer an alternative: don't sign up for cable, but pay $___ just for Olympics coverage. I would do that up to a handsome amount. Quote Link to comment
