Newton Shooting - 29 dead, 22 children

Recommended Posts

Terrible situation and my heart goes out to all of those dealing with this in Connecticut right now. As an active shooter instructor the worst active shooter situation to deal with is a school shooting. What we imagine hell is like? Dealing with an Elementary school active shooter......................................makes me shutter and get tears just thinking about it.

This is so very very sad. I said a prayer for the deceased and their loved ones they left behind and I hope you all say a prayer too. I don't know what it is going to take to stop this crap, but, something has to happen. Shootings at malls..schools, etc. is getting way out of hand! To parents on this board..give your kids extra hugs and kisses...and give them a hug from me.

Is it selfish to be thankful to live where we do where things like this just dont happen?-not that it happens all the time everywhere else, but you know what I mean-I hope.

I dont even know if I know what I mean.

I would have thought that about Omaha until a few years ago . . . this stuff can happen anywhere.

Crazy people with ready access to firearms results in horrific tragedies. :(

There are two on that list from Nebraska. Unknown to me at the time, I walked right by McElroy as he was getting his gun out of the trunk of his car that happened to be parked on the sidewalk right in front of the building. Figured he had something big to carry into the building and that is why he parked there as people did that from time to time on campus. So yes, it can happen anywhere.

I saw a video of Ryan Lanza, the 24 year old brother who was in NJ at his house being taken away for questioning, and that's all fine and dandy, but how come they cuffed him and put him in the back of the cruiser? is it just policy?? I'm curious because he was in NJ away from the scene, his Dad wasn't dead. Why couldn't they question him in his house, or else just take him in without having to cuff him, he was being cooperative.
