Count 'Bility Posted January 20, 2013 Share Posted January 20, 2013 Doug Duda of kearney said on his radio show Wednesday that Andre wouldnt be effective for Hastings College, or even local rec.-league ball. I thought that we being a little harsh, but it's probably true. The guy is an 80's style center where it was beneficial just to have the big body regardless of skills or quickness. However, at the beginning of the season Andre looked a lot niftier than he had in the past and then he got hurt again, so that's probably effecting him. Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker Posted January 20, 2013 Share Posted January 20, 2013 Andre looks lost.. or disinterested 90% of the time. He is big, but plays soft. He can move guys easily but rarely does.... I like Andre a ton but the guy doesnt have the drive... He could dominate people with his size if he just had some fire. Quote Link to comment

Minnesota_husker Posted January 22, 2013 Share Posted January 22, 2013 The fact that we would take JBD over AA really shows how bad he has been. Ubel has no help down low. MY tune has changed on Rivers tho. They stopped forcing him down low and now let him play his game.. more of a 3 instead of a 4 and he looks 100 times more comfortable. Quote Link to comment

I wonder how different of a player he would have been if they would have had him lose a lot of weight. He would have been more mobile and maybe would have had more than a 2" vertical jump.
