ShawnWatson
If you want to know what to eat instead of where, my brother has a friend who has solved that problem. He travels a lot and eats on the road all the time. He never orders. He simply tells the waitress to bring something she thinks he will like. Just surprise him. Every time I have done this I have also got awesome food. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I did it on one of my business trips to Puerto Rico. I wanted to eat more of the local cuisine so every time I went into a restaurant, I simply would say..."surprise me with something you think I would like". I ate some fantastic food. knapplc
You know what's really good? Sliced cucumbers and horseradish sauce. Easy horseradish sauce: 1/4 cup mayonnaise, two TBSP prepared horseradish, 1 tsp olive oil, dash of white pepper. Quote Link to comment

My grandpa would have sliced cucumbers in a cream sauce (probably similar to what you are describing) almost every day in the summer time. Grandma would pick the cucumbers from her garden, slice them up, and he would have it with his dinner (at 4 pm, hahahaha). Quote Link to comment
