While primarily focused on the student section, The Iron N is welcoming all ticket holders to join in.

The reasoning is a simple one, according to Scott Mulholland, Director of Football Operations for The Iron N.

“After last week’s stellar performance by the Nebraska Blackshirts defense, we are trying to show our most unconditional support for our young defense. We want this game to be a marker that the Blackshirts are back, and that we can and do have the best defense in the country,” Mulholland said.

That means all towels and cloths brought along should be black.

For students arriving early, the first 1,000 in the South student section will receive a black towel, courtesy of the Nebraska Athletic Department.

However, Mulholland recognizes that’s not enough to make an impact so that’s where the call for help comes in.

Anybody think this sounds contradictory?

Not really. They could have been unconditionally supported before they had a stellar performance last week.

First of all can you buy these before the game in the stadium? Which I would assume so, but you never know. Also, does anyone not like these type of promos for our big games? They just seem to not work well with the team or maybe I am just paranoid after the whole Red Out Around The World Event.

You can't buy them, there's only 1,000 being passed out to students only.

They were handing towels out to everyone last year for the Michigan game but it doesn't sound like that is the case this time. I doubt they're selling things one place that they're giving away for free other places. Just a question if they're only giving them out to students or will others be included as well.
