Here is the fuss.

 

Big 10 isn't the best conference out there.

 

There are two good teams and one elite team. We aren't any of those.

 

We got beat yesterday by the "good team" and I think most would agree on this board, especially after last year's games, Wisky and Ohio State would CRUSH us.

 

So we are fourth best and we still suffer the head scratching loss.... Minny, and the blow out loss (second half) UCLA

 

Obviously, we are all feeling pretty confident we can beat Penn State and Iowa. But there is a chance that we lose one or both. Those games are not in the bag.

 

In the bag? You gonna start another in the bag thread. We took the MSU game right in the bag. Not just a grazing shot either, nope, a square shot right in the sack. Let's not talk about in the bag anymore.

I'm actually pretty proud. Five turnovers is inexcusable, but I saw resilience and athleticism yesterday and I am encouraged. What I don't get is calling MSU out for being over-rated. We played toe to toe with a good, salty, well coached team and when you criticize their abilities and achievements you are actually insulting us. And we were due to lose. We won the last two games on a hail mary and a hail option. Yesterday's team has improved dramatically since the Northwestern game so I am ok with losing this one. It just goes with the territory.

 

I actually tend to agree. I mean, 3 turnovers in like 5 minutes, big deal smig deal. We were just trying to make it interesting. We are NEBRASKA! We should spot everyone five extra possessions just based on that fact alone. Plus, I love watching blackshirts defense, and I got to see almost 55 minutes of BLACKSHIRTS yesterday! Awesome.

 

That's a good football team, well coached at the end of the day it was just we didn't execute, but I am damn proud to be a Nebraska WeMightHaveLostButWeWonInOurHeartsSker.

 

Just stop.

 

Just have to laugh about it, if you can't do that I feel bad for you. Your taking it serious and being all pissy and moany about it won't change a damn thing, I hope you are aware of that.

Bitching and moaning? Have you even read my posts? Yes I've been pretty obvious in my dislike for Armstrong, but I've been doing nothing but defending the team and the coaches against hypocritical "fans" like you.

If I choose to shed a little humor and decide not to take this crap so seriously a more then deal with it. I'll be the better for it, and you'll still be pissed off. I can't guarantee I can even take it lightly, I have hard time watching my teams struggle, that hardly makes me fair weather. It's a process I'm trying to go through lately, one because watching this team is not fun sometimes, and two, because if you haven't heard the comments coming from the team and coaches lately, it doesn't sound like winning games is their top priority either. Now why in fu#*$ sake would I get so worked up about a team losing games, when they don't get nearly as worked up about it as I do?

First of all your act isn't funny. You are derailing multiple threads with the same tired nonsense over and over. I'm not the only one calling you out on it either.

 

Second, I'm a Cubs fan. Games like yesterday disappoint me because I see we should have won. I'm already looking to next year, because that's what I do. I'm not pissed. Find one post in which I am pissed at a loss or at the team. Doubt you find one.

 

Third. I'm not attacking your character. Im showing your character. Fire Bo! This team sucks. Martinez sucks. Beck sucks. Paps sucks. On and on you go. You refuse to see the positives, and only focus on the negatives. You are always more prolific in your posting after a loss.

 

Do I expect you to pump sunshine? No but I expect someone that claims to be true to the red always to not constantly put his team down, and put fellow fans down for believing in a team that has overcome a lot of adversity.

Yes the Huskers battled well yesterday. It was good effort out there. I liked seeing that. There is good talent on this team. The turnovers stunk, but what stood out just as much was those three long drives against our defense and how often they converted 3rd downs. I know MSU has been highly criticized all year for having a terrible offense. Just wasn't expecting them to convert 11 third downs with a real bad passing offense. They just chewed up the clock and moved the ball especially when the game was in reach for us. Congrats to them.

Sunshine vs. Reality....

 

It's a balance really.

 

I think most of us want to see the good and we realize there is bad.

 

Nothing more annoying than listening to one extreme or the other. On the one hand, everything is fine and dandy no matter the outcome. And on the other hand, all is horrible and will never be corrected.

 

I am always going to be riding the fence.

 

Yesterday did have a lot of bright points. I watched Kenny Bell's post game remarks and just respect him all the more now. The kid is something special.

 

I also realize that we have been in this tail spin for a while. Take a step forward and two back. And that's annoying.

 

The bad and good of it is that we seem to be a few players away on both sides of the ball. Do we need to recruit those guys? Are those guys there already and just need to develop? It's almost impossible to tell. We all want to believe, but we don't know when or if this program will turn the corner and establish itself as a top 15 team consistently.
