Pedro Guerrero
Maybe so, but I remember Pelini made $250,000 in his one year. Crap aren't we still paying "Super" Bo after the whole firing thing? Quote Link to comment
kc_husker
Lets not forget what happen against Mizzou and KU. But I say keep him because the kids do not need another D Cord. Quote Link to comment
NamelessHusker
Word on the street is Coz is staying. Also will get a small increase in his salary for meeting season expectations as well. Not sure how much of a pay raise he's getting. Quote Link to comment
Red Snow Sword: Husker Sentinel
If he goes, who would be the best and also the most likely replacement? Would it be better for the team if he were to go or stay? Quote Link to comment
HuskerInKC16
It's final, COSGROVE IS STAYING!! What a move on his part, because you know he could have been greedy and taken the money. I think he knows what lies ahead of him at Nebraska, and thank God he was loyal enough to stick around. Quote Link to comment
Red Snow Sword: Husker Sentinel
is this true? Quote Link to comment
DaveH
Cosgrove to stay: http://www.journalstar.com/huskerextra/ Quote Link to comment
Silent Commit
Wonderful news!! Like Nameless stated in his post, we've had 3 DCs in the last 5 years and we're trying to finalize our recruiting. It would have been terrible, IMO, if Cosgrove left. I think that Blake, Cosgrove and Callahan have something to prove. They're not going anywhere....yet. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
coz ain't no dummy.....he sees a top notch defense coming up over the next couple years and his stock will go even higher.....much higher in my opinion.... i think he feels he owes cally at least 1 or 2 more seasons....but then all bets are off....especially if the D is dominating as i expect it will be.....then NU will have to come up with some huge bucks, and that may not be enough.....the lure of the NFL is huge for these guys...... hunter Quote Link to comment
NamelessHusker
D keeps improving like it did this year, someone will come calling for Coz to be a HC someplace. Quote Link to comment
HANC
Wow, what a difference a few wins make.... I can recall this board exploding after the meltdown at MU and KU..... Holy cow, some of you were ready to run Coz and Co. out of town.. I had my doubt as did many, but as I said, a few wins sure change attitudes of everyone..... including mine I am still not completely sold on Coz, but I am very happy he is staying... the last thing we needed was to change faces and schemes at this point. Just keep showing improvement. Quote Link to comment

Continuity will contribute greatly to success. Quote Link to comment
nu4everfan15
i was just listenin to the alamo bowl again on the computer here and i just realized... nu could have the best d-line and linebackers in the big 12 and maybe the country. wow, the lb's played great and it was pretty much the backups from the start of the season... got great depth there, and d-line will be stacked 2... its gonna be awesome now that coz is stayin put Quote Link to comment
dbetz23
Yea, its downright scary when you think about it. Just think of subbing in and out every play or series and having FRESH guys in there on every down on defense. Is it September yet? Quote Link to comment

Regardless its just another testament that these guys we have coaching at Nebraska know what they are doing. The ship just corrected it's course by a couple degrees. Quote Link to comment
