GSG
I read this the other day. http://www.btpowerhouse.com/2014/3/8/5485158/tim-miles-deserves-to-be-b1g-coach-of-the-year Comparing what Miles has done with the talent here vs the other teams in the conference. Michigan: Two 5-stars, three 4-stars (not including Mitch McGary). Wisconsin: One 5-star, two 4-stars, five 3-stars. Michigan State: One 5-star, seven 4-stars, five 3-stars. Ohio State: Eight 4-stars, three 3-stars. Just to emphasize how severe the talent disparity is between the Huskers and the rest of the B1G: Indiana, who Nebraska just beat at Assembly Hall and currently sit at 8th in the conference, have seven players that would have been considered the best recruit in Nebraska history. zoogs
I think Miles wouldn't care about winning the award or not because he knows this isn't the end of the road. The more to keep his team hungry, the better. Quote Link to comment
mrandyk
How long until Tim Miles wins a conference title? A year? This man is the biggest overachiever in the world. A couple more points and we would have been the second seed in the Big Ten. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
Miles would care about the award but no different than what he said to his team last night. Enjoy it for one night then it is back to work and it doesn't matter. The award would help give him even more credibility when trying to recruit top talent here. Quote Link to comment
HUSKER FREAK
Absolutely correct BRB. This will be a huge recruiting tool. Miles is for real and we are so blessed to have him here. He is a very good all around coach he handles most all situations really well. Quote Link to comment
SouthLincoln Husker
When does the conference awards come out? Is it like the womens - before the tourney? Quote Link to comment
HUSKER FREAK
I thought I heard today not sure when though. Quote Link to comment

BigRedBuster
I am surprised that Shields is not listed. This was my thoughts when I went through the list. But, I really don't know much about many of the players on the list. Great job for Miles and Petteway. Quote Link to comment
