Mavric
Gary Sharp @GarySharp1620 25m Nebraska’s week 2 opponent McNeese State is ranked 9th in Football Championship Subdivision preseason coaches’ poll. NDSU-1, SDSU-10 Quote Link to comment
KazLong
UNI will decide Iowa's fate this year lol. As to them I wish them the best until we meet them than I hope they are destroyed. I also hope they are highly ranked when we do this. Quote Link to comment
papersun87
Iowa's winning percentages under Ferentz: If the trend continues they're due for another climb, but heaven knows there aren't many schools that wouldn't go at least 10-2 against THAT schedule. Quote Link to comment

True, but is there another coach currently employed in FBS that has done less with more than Ferentz? A 10-2 Iowa doesn't concern me, as Nebraska should be one of their two losses... papersun87
^That's more or less what I meant, although you articulated it better. Iowa could be wholly mediocre and still go 10-2. Edit: CUTEST SIG GIF EVER Quote Link to comment
Caven
In regards to the Iowa/Iowa State MNC conversation - yes I meant 2002. If Iowa wins that game we are undefeated and playing in the Rose Bowl against a crap Washington (I think it was) team instead of USC in the Orange Bowl while Ohio State and Miami play in the MNC game. Given that matchup, you likely have both Iowa and OSU undefeated at the end of the season. Of course USC proved that we had some holes in our game, but that was just before USC went on their tear through college football so I think we were better than USC made us look in that bowl game. We were ranked number 4 going in to that USC game so we might have made the playoffs if that was the format back then I know many of you look down on Iowa but I think that given how things are in today's football landscape, Iowa and Nebraska will be playing for the Big Ten West title many times on the day after Thanksgiving. deedsker
Iowa's schedule is so hilariously bad, if they don't start 10-0 or 9-1, they should fire Ferentz (lol).Proceeds to lose to Iowa State... Lulz. Necro Bump! Quote Link to comment
