hskrfan4life
HuskerOnline selected there wide receiver group as - Johnny Rodgers, Irving Fryar, Matt Davison, Nate Swift For me: Rodgers, Fryar, Purify, and Swift. I had to include Purify, I loved his size at the WR position. Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
Can't argue with that list.Matt Davison makes one catch and gets on "Mount Rushmore". Goes to show maybe why wide receivers don't come here. Most kids would all say "who?" Quote Link to comment
Ulty
Davison had a pretty darn good overall career in an era where we didn't pass very much. He's still in the top ten of all of our receiving records, even though he was really only "known" for one particular play as a freshman. But I wouldn't start a WR corps around him these days. For Mt. Rushmore, I'd say Rodgers, Fryar, and Swift are the no-brainers. For the 4th one, I'd put Kenny Bell up there. He's already top 5 in all receiving categories and is likely to break Swift's records this year. Just put the twitter away. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Tight ends included? If so. Johnny Mitchell, Irving Fryar, Nate Swift, Matt Davison. If not tight ends, the take out Mitchell and I'd probably add Purify. WR at Nebraska is tough. Outside of Fryar, the wr position is pretty irrelevant prior to 2004 in regards to what you think of from a typical WR. Otherwise, Abdul Muhammed was a great one in context of what a Nebraska receiver was. Maybe one of the greatest. Quote Link to comment
huskered17
Jeter and White come to mind. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
I don't know why everyone is knocking Davison. In an era where there weren't many passes thrown, he was a very good receiver for NU. He is better than "making only 1 good catch" in his career. Purify had a ton of talent and size, but Davison had a much better career at NU. Quote Link to comment

Warrior
Rodgers, Fryar, Davidson, & Muhammed (just because of the bullet in his buttock story) just like RB for me Bell can get in this list this year too.. Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Besides the fumble against Texas in 06' Terrence Nunn was a heckuva receiver for us. Also if it weren't for injury Matt Herian was on his way to being one of the best receivers we've ever had. The guy was a playmaker at TE which is rare. I also liked Todd Peterson a lot. Sure handed for sure. I'd probably go Rogers, Nate Swift, Todd Peterson and Matt Herian. Quote Link to comment
