Mavric
If one player could lay claim to being the best of the best, however, it would be Nebraska running back Ameer Abdullah. He finished as the top performer in four separate drills (vertical jump, broad jump, three-cone drill and short shuttle), the most of any player in Indianapolis. WSJ Quote Link to comment
Guy Chamberlin
What impresses coaches most isn't so much the numbers being posted, it's the guys who clearly worked their asses off to post them. Ameer Abdullah has natural ability, but if you look at football player he was in 2011 and the player he is now, you see the focus and drive that made him better. Can't coach that. 2 Quote Link to comment

Can't coach that. Yep. Ameer became a household name in the 2011 Fresno State game with his kickoff return for a TD, but he clearly ran out of gas at about the 10 yard line, couldn't muster a good move, and got tackled right on the goal line. Nearly didn't make it in. Contrast that to 2014 McNeese State where, end of the game, he jukes around and blasts through 3/4 of the Cowboy defense en route to the game-winning TD. That run was heart and determination, but it was also days upon days upon days spent in the weight room. 2 Quote Link to comment

lo country
Carolina Panthers say hello! Would love for AA to end up in Carolina. Agree with the above. From his freshman season to senior, he worked his a$$ off on and off the field to become the guy who tore it up at the combine. He single handily kept us from being the laughing stock of the FBS with a loss to McNeese St. Beast mode activated. He will be sorely missed and even harder to replace. Quote Link to comment
Guy Chamberlin
A really needy team can't afford to take the risk on Abdullah. A team like the Patriots makes more sense. Quote Link to comment
kbnebraska7
Wherever AA ends up I think there will be a vast amount of his NFL jerseys around the nation Quote Link to comment
