Yeah, someone on a different board a little closer to the program than a lot of people said he was up close to 290. Don't trust any of those weights on the roster sheet. He came into the program at about 265.

Here is the thing. If the DLine is a force, that opens up a whole new slew of potential for our LB's, and DB's.

 

IMO, we have two DT's that can potentially need double teamed. The way I envision our DL is that opposing offenses will have to bring in help from backs to protect the QB on throwing downs. Taking more routes out of the equation downfield. Which, gives our LB's and DB's in coverage less stress.

 

Gotta watch for screens but if we can occupy 6 guys with 4 upfront, on just 40 percent of the time. We'll be alright.

Exactly. We might not have the most dynamic DEs but both DTs should have to be double-teamed a lot of the time so the DEs should get a lot of one-on-ones which will help. And that should free up the LBs quite a bit.

I'm so glad they are moving Stoltenburg to DT. They are bulking him up to do so.

In Banker's defense, if the RB stays in to protect, the LBs are blitzing.

Well, the point of DT is to give the guard or center MORE than they can handle.

 

 

Gonna be interesting to see if things are any different than they've been in the past as far as hearing great things about a player all the way through fall camp, then rarely seeing them on the field during the season. Sunshine, rainbows, kittens and puppies and all that good stuff. Fun to read, don't mean jack sh#t.
