KazLong
Bad news bears Coach. Billy Bob Thorton! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRMx82DYjhQ With all the posters saying that we have all these 'talent' issues old billy bob did a good job, of coaching those misfits. That or Donald Trump, he would make Nebraska great again, he is huge and loved by all recruits. He is great at coaching and he will win so much we will get sick of winning. That and his daughter is hot, so that would be fun to have at the games. Quote Link to comment

WhatDoIKnow
Has to be a TV reality show opportunity here. Fans can vote which coach to start Week 1. Vote to keep that coach or nominate a new coach in the following weeks. Involve a Kardashian. Boatloads. $$$ Oh, and live internet fan vote play calling. Quote Link to comment
beorach
As silly as it is to consider new coaches now...given how much time we may have to figure out who's who in the coaching ranks before it's time to make a change...I'll play along for s/g. How many of these names are realistic? The only big name I can think of that might be obtainable is Petrino but what I can recall of his personal life would indicate he might not be a good match. Would a Whittingham come? Would we take a chance on a guy like Satterfield? Holgorson, Campbell, Herman, and Rhule are some other coaches whose teams have been playing the kind of game Husker "traditionalists" would like at a high level. That's just based on a snapshot of the current season's stats, though (prioritizing rush d, rush o, scoring d, and turnover margin). Stanford is just average in holding down opponents' scoring and their turnover margin stats are almost as bad as Nebraska's. The defensive stats Memphis has put up aren't so hot...especially against the pass (worse than Nebraska's). Marshall posted great numbers last season but, outside scoring offense, they're largely average in 2015. Mississippi State has below average rushing stats this season but their passing game has been good enough to make production seem average. Quote Link to comment
