"3-9 is good for the program"

How about the current players?

I truly can't believe how deluded some have become.

3-9 is absolutely needed for some fans, like the count. The amount of ego that certain fans tie into the football program is beyond ridiculous. That ego needs a beating.

However, it happened before, and it didn't seem to do any good then. So, maybe there's just no hope for certain fans.

OTH, I feel bad for the players recruited under the previous HC during a season like this.

I totally agree.

I feel bad for some of the players that have to endure a down year like this, of course they too attribute to that down year. But some Husker fans need a serious beat down on their entitlement and "holier than thou" mentality.

There's actually radio show hosts and fans talking about this game Saturday, saying if we win, no way should we rush the field. "Act like you've been there" they say. "We're better than that"!

The hell we are. We aren't better than anybody right now. We are right on par with the same teams that storm the field when they beat us. We haven't been overwhelmingly better than the in a long time. Sure we've won a lot of games, more than we have this year, but I've seen nothing on the field that spreads us from the pack aside from a kid named Ameer Abdullah and Ndamukong Suh if you want to go back further.

If we win Saturday, hell yes storm that field students. Enjoy the highs when you can. This should be fun. Stop getting so low with the lows. What good does it do.

We'll be back someday. I guarantee it.

Thanks to some pouty entitled asshat, I'm sitting in their seat Saturday night. Got em cheap! Me and my daughter will enjoy it I promise!

But not based on talent.

Fact is, NU has equal talent, at least, to MSU.

Now, do we have equal coaching? That's a different question all together.

Pettit ignores that:

1. Bo did tell them they should work hard for their new coach (you can read the audio transcrip).

LOL....this is akin to:

Father going through divorce and having a supper with his young kids: "Kids, your mother is a rotten slutty whore that is a cowardice bitch and is impossible to live with. Her a-hole parents are clueless and do nothing but tear me apart for no reason other than their own hidden motives......But, I want you to try your best to love her and your grand parents. But, if you don't want to love them, there are other places you can live. Good luck."

Yeah....that really inspires the thought of saying goodbye in a supportive way. But...hey....he did say, "But, I want you to try your best to love them".

Bad analogy. Bo didn't bad mouth his successor. He only talked badly about Pederhorst. And he told the truth.

A better analogy would be the dad telling the kids that their mother is a wonderful woman, but her boss is a jackass.

LOL...nothing in my analogy said anything about a successor. My analogy is spot on.

It is absolutely laughable and scary at the same time that you can look at the transcript or listen to his words and not think he was poisoning the thoughts of those players towards the administration and their future as a Husker football team. His actions are almost classic abusive actions in a relationship.

That "abusive relationship" analogy is in such poor taste.

LOL....What?????

We are talking about a guy who absolutely had no respect for any of us as fans. He had absolutely NO respect for anyone above him that even thought of questioning him (Except maybe TO.....maybe). And you call MY post about him in poor taste?

Sorry if you can't see it. But, his actions are EXACTLY in line with an abusive relationship. His relationship with these players and program had NOTHING to do with the program or the players. It ALWAYS was about him in his mind.

I supported him every single day he was here until I had my eyes opened half way through his last year. It's amazing to me the people who are absolutely blind to his actions in this.

I never felt disrespected as a fan, because I don't feel that the team owes me anything and I think that the fans Bo was calling out deserved it.

And I can't blame him for having no respect for Eichorst and Perlman either; they've done nothing to garner respect.

Are you a psychic? Because if not, I don't know how you can make such broad proclamations about his state of mind. I do know that a lot of his players and coaches didn't feel it was all about him.

What's funny is you saying your eyes were opened hafl way through last year. So you admit your disillusionment has nothing to do with his attitude or personality, but rather everything to do with what you consider unacceptable football results (I imagine the Wisky game was your trigger). The attitude and personality you bemoan now is just an excuse for your real issue with the man.

And yet you don't even see the hypocrisy, the inconsistency? How can you claim Bo has no integrity and is selfish when you're the one displaying those characteristics when you back fill excuses about his personality as justification for wanting him fired for not meeting what you, as a random, anonymous fan, deem as the standard for Nebraska football.

Pfffft....an abusive relationship. So many exaggerations in this post. Stop being a drama queen.

Did anyone file a restraining order against him?

Did I say it was? I said his actions are LIKE an abusive relationship.
Yeah, I know. That's what I was referring to...the analogy. And to support it you had to exaggerate with extremist qualifiers..."absolutely NO respect"(x2)..."ANY of us"..."EXACTLY"..."NOTHING"..."ALWAYS"

You must be feeling a lot of pain if you have to peg the meter in every direction. If you can't get that restraining order perhaps you should seek counseling

Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

But, his actions ARE the same as an abusive husband that tries to convince the wife that life will just be horrible without him and everyone else in the world is out to get her and you can't trust anyone.

If you can't see that, then....well.....

I've been intimately familiar with multiple abusive relationships first hand, and the repeated attempts by attention whores to unequivocally match/define that to Bo's coaching trivializes and marginalizes true aggressors and victims of domestic abuse and/or sociopaths

That absolutely nails it for me too. I have a hard time comprehending the (over) reaction by fans who give nothing but emotional support. And I especially despise the way some fans trash players who've worked their butts off, just because those players aren't propping up the fragile egos of those fans.

Wow.

It's not even worth debating this, but here's a few names just from the recent drafts:

Abdullah (look at his stats; very average his first two years)

Bell

Stanley Jean-Babtiste (converted WR turned NFL DB)

Spencer Long (walkon turned all american and NFL draftee, despite blown knee)

Quincy Enunwa

Burkhead

Gomes

Hagg

Paul

Glenn

and that's just a small sampling.

A better analogy would be the dad telling the kids that their mother is a wonderful woman, but her boss is a jackass.

Bo talked badly about many more then SE on many occasions. he hated everyone and everything here at Nebraska and made it well known to his players how he felt. he pissed in the well every chance he had. but he did...at the end of telling everyone how bad it was here...tell them to support their new coach. Mike may be the only person he didn't throw under the bus from Nebraska....good thing you are here to do that for Bo.

That's patently false, but if it helps you deal with this crap season, believe whatever you want.

who did Bo like besides himself and his players?

I won't answer that. I wouldn't do that to ya, man! I can tell you need to believe your narrative.

lol no answer. got it.

OK, you asked for it. Pretty much all the Catholics in Lincoln. Bo bought Pius X a brand new turf football field out of his own pocket. Pretty much all the parents and players on his kids' youth sports teams. Pretty much everyone who he interacted with on a personal basis.

The only ones he didn't like were the fairweathered fans who booed at games and left early (or the ones who would've if they had been there.) And they are pretty easy to spot, because they say very similar things to what you've been posting.

funny...i know some catholics from lincoln that don't give Bo a glowing endorsement. oh well..get a big group of people and there will be differing views. if bo really did donate the $ to buy a team a football field that should have been in the news. am suprised my son wouldn't know about it since he is a high school QB and is always talking with players from other teams on twitter. i will have to just accept your word that he did that. still doesn't mean that i liked how he represented the cornhuskers with his boorish sideline behavior. nor his words from his tape recorded rants. those 2 things make any claims of other boorish behavior easy to believe.

FWIW... i have never boo'd at a husker game nor left any early (well....left 1 game early in 86 when i had to get to a wedding...i know....shouldn't have gone to the wedding. lol) have been going since the late 60's. been to 2 games this year and will go again before the season is over if possible. on average get to about 2 games a year. if that makes me a fairweather fan i will wear that title with pride. please continue with your efforts to tear down Nebraska if you like...it's your perogitive. i will continue to support the guys in red.

Good luck."

Pretty much everyone who he interacted with on a personal basis. Ummm....absolutely not. I know and have talked to a number of people who had spent time around him long before his last year that thought the guy was a total ass and treated them like crap. Back when I supported the guy, I got into some really heated arguments with people I thought just didn't like the guy. Hmmmm....similar to what you are doing now. Yep, I was on your side. Funny thing.....those people were right.

You see, GBRedneck, what hasn't been publicized is that Bo actually replaced Jack's medication with zima and sugar pills. Just ask the pillorers.

They can make up some doozies. Frankly, I'm more disappointed in the childish beliefs that tearing Bo down can somehow make Riley look better.

Pot meet kettle

Wow. I've never seen that term misused so badly! I think I'd also get a good laugh out of your rationale for using it if you don't mind humoring me.
