Red Five
Well that sucks. Seems like odd timing, doing right after he got back from the spring game. He must have really loved his trip to Blacksburg. Quote Link to comment
Treand3
His relationship with VT coaches played a huge role. Would've been a nice pickup. Quote Link to comment

Treand3
Someone on VTs staff is good friends with Dalton's father. So there's that. 1 Quote Link to comment

Red Five
Just because I was curious, I went back a few years and looked at how many recruits VT gets from west of the Mississippi, since we never really seem to be up against them too often. From 2012-2015, they signed 0 kids from west of the Mississippi. In 2016, they signed 1 (Juco QB from Texas). So Keene is the obvious outlier from their normal recruiting footprint, which I am sure is due to his father's relationship with the VT staff. 2 Quote Link to comment

Yeah I wouldn't expect VT to have sustained success in that aspect. Quote Link to comment

And VT has an entirely new staff, so their recruiting footprint is likely to change. Quote Link to comment
