No Excuses Next Season?

It's year 5 and with the brass being put into the program and the returning players, etc, it's not illogical or insane to start expecting-if not requiring-some results. I'm not talking hot seat. I'm talking job. At some point in time it's gotta be ok to expect some sort of results or else. Now, where that line is drawn (NCAA, 2nd round, sweet 16, NIT, top X in Big ten, etc), I dont know. That's not my dept. Im just calling it as I see it from afar. The patience has to be starting to wear pretty thin. Take away a cute february run and we're really not even close to the level of even the Doc Sadler era except for the fact that the talent level has obvoiusly been majorly upgraded and we've been competitive in situations we wouldntve been in the recent past.

If it's really been upgraded as much as many are saying, shouldn't that be the number one reason why better results should be expected?

Isnt that the point I made? Or do I know not of what I say?

And it's not "if". It's pretty obvious. Watch a game from that period and watch any game from the last couple years. But in the end there's just still something amis. Experience? Big man? Coaching? Who knows. What is clear is we got a slight glimpse of what's possible, but as it has turned out that was nothing more than a total fluke in the midst of what has been a pretty status quo and dissappointing era.

Yeah, I wasn't disagreeing with you. Just taking your point one step further. Or maybe that was just in my head.

i won't speak for Minn-husker

On paper we have more talent at one time then we EVER have.

On the court we will have to wait and see.

No we haven't, Danny Nee's teams of the 90's had more talent, especially the 1990-1991 team that went 26-8.

We have 8 top 150 guys.

On pure talent alone this roster is stacked, just young.
