Undone
Since Wisconsin has two conference losses, we just need to win one of the next two. Winning the remaining three should be relatively easy. Punch ticket to Indy. Win conference title. Go on three day bender to end all benders. 2 Quote Link to comment

I would rather have the win over Wisconsin, as it would give them 3 losses and virtually clinch the division for NU. If NU loses to Wisky, and beats Ohio State, NU couldn't afford a slip-up the rest of the season if Wisky is able to win out. I know the final 3 games don't look very daunting for NU, but with the way the injuries have gone for NU those final 3 games aren't a sure thing. Quote Link to comment
Redux
To have a real shot at the division we have to beat Wisconsin. Both their losses came to cross division opponents, not that it makes a huge difference though. If we lose to them, we would have to win out. Quote Link to comment

It would require a pretty big upset, but Wisconsin could still lose again down the road. They have a bad history at Northwestern and Minnesota is a fierce rivalry (although that is in Madison). While it's not likely that Wisconsin would lose one of their final 4 games, it could happen. Quote Link to comment
Undone
It honestly kind of feels like Wisconsin is actually better that Ohio State. Really serious. 1 Quote Link to comment

Wisconsin could lose to Northwestern or Minnesota for their third loss. They'll definitely be favored in both games, but you can't assume a win in either. Minnesota is a rivalry game and anything can happen. Northwestern is playing good football right now and Wisconsin hasn't beat them in Evanston since 1994. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
It honestly kind of feels like Wisconsin is actually better that Ohio State. Really serious. Ohio St is really interesting. We'll see what happens then next two weeks with them coming off a loss. Sometimes a deal like that is good for a team that knows theyre already good. Dont put it past Urb to spin it into a giant positive for that team's path. But so far, theyve been pretty underwhelming. Not just their wins, but how they play. Quote Link to comment
Undone
Agreed, Count. On a different train of thought - if we win Saturday, thinking of a playoff spot becomes an entirely sane thing. Wouldn't have particularly high odds...but is absolutely, without question, on the table. I'm glad Riley's the man at the helm right now. Quote Link to comment

Guy Chamberlin
We played up or down to our level of competition last year for exciting fourth quarters regardless of opponent. It's the same thing this year, though we're a little bit better and a lot luckier. Quote Link to comment
Redux
Yes, we have all seen the games and remember the struggles. But that wasn't what that comment was about. You seem to have made it a mission to make people see this season the same way you do. Quote Link to comment

It's possible that it might be a bit of an understatement to just say that "...we're a little better." Our defense is significantly better. 1 Quote Link to comment
