nic
Saw this article about Purdue focusing on Les Miles or PJ Fleck from Western Michigan. I am skeptical...but man either would be a coup for Purdue. http://247sports.com/Article/College-football-coaching-search-Les-Miles-would-break-the-big-g-49067035?utm_source=247Sports%20Newsletter&utm_medium=Newsletter&utm_campaign=161118_121754_247Sports&utm_content=Image 1 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
I really love Fleck. I would love him at NU. That guy might just have "it" Quote Link to comment

TonyStalloni
I'm curious if Les M will even coach next year. I would think ESPN would find him a good fit as an announcer. Don't really see him going to Purdue in any case. Good on them for trying however. Quote Link to comment
nic
Make Purdue Great Again! Again? Both funny comments. They had a great run from 1929 - 1932, winning the conference 3 out of 4 years. And again from 1966 - 1969, winning the Rose Bowl one year. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan92
I was surprised when Matt Campbell went to Iowa St, would be even more shocked if Fleck went to Purdue Quote Link to comment
nic
Les Miles was in Ann Arbor yesterday for the Michigan game. They interviewed him in the booth for a few minutes. Odd interview. Not sure he was all there. Lots of pauses like he did hear or remember the question. Quote Link to comment

BigRedBuster
Would Purdue rather have Miles or Strong? Quote Link to comment
nic
Purdue would take either I am sure. Quote Link to comment
Kiyoat Husker
Make Purdue Great Again! Again? Both funny comments. They had a great run from 1929 - 1932, winning the conference 3 out of 4 years. And again from 1966 - 1969, winning the Rose Bowl one year. They have had a couple more recent runs as well. In the three seasons 1978-1980 they went a combined 28-7-1, being ranked in the top 20 of the final AP every year. That was under CF HOF coach Jim Young. Joe Tiller was pretty successful there, too. In his first 4 seasons (1997-2000) he went a combined 33-16, being ranked in the top 25 every year, and winning a share of the Big Ten in 2000. But overall, yes, they have been mostly bad. 2 Quote Link to comment
Michiganball
They also used to be called spoiler makers, in the 70's-80's as they often did just that to your season. But thats a couple decades back. But right now........... 1 Quote Link to comment
nic
Heard a rumor Purdue is getting Western Kentucky's coach. Bummer. Quote Link to comment
nic
Maybe another Tiller type hire. Western Kentucky can put up some points. Quote Link to comment
