Atbone95
Thought this might be a fun discussion - where do the Cavs go from here? I think it goes without saying they are the league's chance of beating the Warriors for the foreseeable future. Reports suggest they're interested in bringing in another superstar - potentially Carmelo or recent interest in PG13. What do you think their best move is and why? I don't like Carmelo. As a Nuggets fan personally... Carmelo is an elite talent with a knack for losing wherever he goes. I would love if the Cavs added Paul George, but I'm not sure where he would fit into the lineup . Specifically, how am I putting Lebron, PG, and Love all on the court at a time? Slide one into a 2, or don't play a 5? 1 Quote Link to comment

I think either Love or Kyrie would be a casualty of a PG13 trade. I honestly think a guy like Blake Griffin could be a good off-season pick up if they wanted to go down that road. Landlord
They need to worry about keeping Lebron around first. Quote Link to comment
Army_Allen
They need to worry about keeping Lebron around first. Are you okay with losing Lebron if it makes the cap room for a George trade and Griffin FA pickup? Quote Link to comment
Landlord
I'm not a Cavs fan and I don't really care at all other than hoping that the Spurs and ________ (essentially, probably, wherever Lebron is) can field competitive squads and keep the league interesting. Quote Link to comment

Then as a Spurs fan how do you feel about an older Paul coming in at PG? (a rumor swirling) Quote Link to comment

Are you okay with losing Lebron if it makes the cap room for a George trade and Griffin FA pickup?Problem is that George would likely be a 1 year rental because he said today he will opt out of current contract after this next season and would prefer going to Lakers. So is he really worth giving up much for only one year? Quote Link to comment

Nebfanatic
Cavs need to upgrade athleticism and defense while keeping their ability to hit the 3. Not an easy task but if you get rid off all of the past prime vets on that squad and trade K Love as fast as possible you are on the right track. Quote Link to comment

Offensively he's at his best when he's not asked to create shots for people. Look at his olympic performances. When he's surrounded by people who can create for him and he can spot up and shoot he's a very solid player. Plus Lebron could still guard the 3 and Melo could go guard less athletic and slower 4s. Neither him or PG13 would be ideal fits. I think the roster they have now is fine. Plenty of shooters to go with Lebron's playmaking ability. Just need to knock down more shots and they have to commit to the defensive end. Quote Link to comment
Atbone95
More interesting developments today. I think, SHORT TERM, Kyrie has much more value in a trade. You could move him for someone like Butler and sign CP3 at a lower contract. Long term, I think that is the worst thing the Cavaliers could do as an organization. The dude is (can be) the future of that franchise, long after Lebron hangs it up. What are the odds they can trade Love for Butler and pick up Griffin for a 4? Now that would be fun to watch. That still leads to who's gonna play the 5 though? I'm a Durant/Bulls fan though so i don't care if the cavs get better lol. Quote Link to comment

He's serviceable for a championship run. Better than Zaza, IMO. Quote Link to comment
