So, let me get this straight. Russia invades Ukraine killing civilians.....and they think Ukraine's military are terrorists. I think the world community will have something to say about that. Unfortunately, I'm sure the trial will be fast with the death penalty as the sentence. Link to comment

nic
Report that Putin is now making tactical decisions. This might be over sooner than expected. The decisions probably include which officers to shoot. Moiraine
Quote An amendment introduced by senior lawmakers in Russia’s Parliament would allow Russians older than 40 to sign first-time military service contracts. Under the current law, Russian citizens must be aged 18 to 40 to sign a first-time contract. The law would bring in more service members with specialties, such as medical workers and engineers, a statement from the lower house of Parliament said. “Highly professional specialists are needed” to operate military equipment, the statement said. It made no mention of a manpower shortage in the field. But experts say that Russia suffers that shortage and is under strain, particularly after a series of humiliating setbacks in trying to capture Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, and more recently in failing to seize the country’s second-largest city, Kharkiv. (1) Latest Russia-Ukraine War News: Live Updates - The New York Times (nytimes.com) I wonder how many old Russians will sign up having no idea the war isn't going great. Link to comment

nic
Interesting story of a Russian officer who resigned his commission and refused to fight. It sounds more common than one would think. https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/22/europe/ukraine-russian-officer-resigns/index.html Link to comment
