melscott62
If I was bob stoops(thank god I'm not) I would take the kid if I could....even if they have many spots...if nothing else just to hurt us. Quote Link to comment

They are limited on schollies so they probobly will fill their needs first. I think we have a very good shot here. Quote Link to comment
husker rob
that would be fine for me if OU passed up on this guy and NU gets him. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Man we got some huge guys coming in here!!!!! I just want them to be able to move as well though....... Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
that's the key...can they move? Quote Link to comment
husker rob
ETR stated at the bottom of his profile that Cally loves this kid because he has long arms and quick feet. if he can use those quick feet to keep in front on the defender then does it really matter that he runs the 40 in 5.7? Â now marcell jones' profile says that he runs the 40 in 4.9, and that is moving for a guy that is 6'7" 320 lbs. i think that would be a hell of a pulling guard IMO Quote Link to comment

Also Marcell WOULD be one helluva a pulling guard giving how fast he is. I think alot of these 40 times are suspect until like you said in another post fall camp.......... Quote Link to comment
Washusker
Do you want a 6'7" guard? That seems a bit too tall, giving the QB terrible passing lanes. Quote Link to comment

AR Husker Fan
Do you want a 6'7" guard? That seems a bit too tall, giving the QB terrible passing lanes. From comments made by various quarterbacks - Phil Simms is one that comes to mind - the lanes aren't over the lineman - it's the gaps between the linemen. That is, the lanes that they open up by moving their defender to the left or the right. So a 6'7" guard wouldn't necessarily be a problem. Quote Link to comment

gamecocks
Plus, they are not usually standing straight up and down while they are pass blocking either. At least they shouldn't be. Quote Link to comment
strigori
Callahan coached the O-line in the NFL, I am going to trust that he knows what he is doing when recruiting them. ANd size is definatly a part of it. Look around at the dominant O-linemen from all over the NFL, they are usually 6'4 or bigger. Quote Link to comment
