But, this is cool and really makes me want to go to a game. Wrigleyville and game day makes me just as excited as going to Lincoln on game day. Mavric Posted October 9, 2022 Author Share Posted October 9, 2022 Mets to go Diaz in the 7TH(!), leading 3-2. Diaz shuts them down, but it took 19 pitches. Then the Mets score 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th, taking 45 minutes. Not sure why they sent Diaz back out for the 8th after that long of a break and now leading by 5. I suppose they will still throw him tomorrow (assuming they hold on), but that's got to limit him to one inning for sure. I really wouldn't have sent him back out there after all that. I had resigned myself to losing to the Dodgers, but I was hopeful that they could at least make that series interesting. But instead we throw three Cy Young winners at the Padres and get basically out-pitched in every game. To say nothing of the offense disappearing for two of the games. Quote Link to comment
