KansasHusker
Watching ESPN right now and they are going over the Sept. 16th games. Both picked USC to beat us. They said Smith and Jarrett for wideouts is just too much for the Nebraska Defense. Thoughts? Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
Guess what? Both analyst (sp) picked SC in a heartbeat, to credit they new guy "Todd" dont know his last name said we're going in the right direction and the idiot Mark May picked USC because of our Defense being weak f'ing Idiot oh well maybe we can impress them in our first 2 games and guess what their picks don't mean sh#t about us actually going and kicking SC ass! dbetz23
ESPN? What's ESPN? Is that the poker channel? Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
Doesn't surprise me at all that they picked SC to beat the Huskers. Just another reason why I think the Huskers will shock the college football world. That chip on the Huskers shoulder just keeps getting bigger, and that bulliten board is getting more material every day. GBR!! Quote Link to comment
huskeraddict
When they see John David Booty on his @$$ courtesy of Adam Carriker, Dwayne Jarret wondering where he is from an Andrew Shanle hit it, Taylor slinging it to Swift and Nunn past a stunned USC secondary and Cody Glenn running through holes bigger than the one in this doughnut we'll see what's what! Hunter94
you got to understand, we have a patch work defensive secondary and the reality is that is going to hurt.......i am hoping for a good game at USC, but i expect our dbs will get burned early and often......they will all get a quick education, but that is life and that is our glaring weakness on d.......no one's fault, just going to be a problem area this year.......and no one better complain 'cause we simply don't have the experience and swagger in the backfield.....we know it and our opponents know it......our guys will have to suck it up and they will get better back there later in the season........ Todd Blackledge, is the new guy. Â Nothing Mark May really surprises me. It's funny watching him backpeddle after his stupid predictions weekly. Whatever, I think they keep him there because he is an idiot. That's why Trev is no longer there. Quote Link to comment

They said Smith and Jarrett for wideouts is just too much for the Nebraska Defense. Thoughts? ESPN picked USC, water is still wet, the sun will set over the ocean tonight, and my governor can do a lot of situps. Â I will say that some SC fans here are not saying a whole lot about that game. They are excited, but admit that this is a very dangerous early game. They have new blood at nearly every skill position except WR and, while I think SAnchez will get the nod over Booty, pressure on them will be key. If they have time to pass, it could get ugly. Good thing I'll have a front row seat. Quote Link to comment
bluiz18
suprise suprise....they will understand once we hit the field this year....as will the rest of the folks who dont realize what kind of team we really have! Quote Link to comment
skersfan
Sorry guys, but it is a realistic pick. They have a lot of talent. We are still considered down on talent compared to the top teams in the country. We know a little more about what we have than they do I am sure. It is our life. Not theirs. Â Last years #2 team at home against a team that lost to Missouri and Kansas. Yes we beat Michigan but they don't have them high either. So where would you expect them to pick. They did just exactly what everyone else out of the state of Nebraska woud do. Â I agree Mark May is a $hit head, but realisticly they are right. Not saying it will happen that way but the odds are what they are going by. I would guess we will be a 10 point dog going in. Â Sometimes ESPN deserves the rath, but not this time. IlliniHusker
Lots of questions will be answered in the USC game. Has our O-line improved enough to give Zac time to use the whole playbook? Do we have a legit running game? Who will emerge as the dominant I-back? Will our D-line pressure their freshman QB enough to disrupt their passing attack? If not, will our secondary respond to the challenge or crumble? I don't think the first 2 games will do much in showing how good the team is in all these questionable areas, but USC will provide some answers. Quote Link to comment
