  1. This won't even phase Rhule. This is nothing compared to the issues and PR nightmare he inherited when he took the job at Baylor.
  2. TO's 25 year run will never be matched. He may not have won as many National Titles in that time frame, but he was the fastest coach in history to 250 wins and I don't ever forsee that record falling. You'd have to coach for 25 seasons averaging 10 wins, never faltering for 25 years straight. He finished in the AP Top 10 18 out of his 25 seasons coached. He never finished outside of the top 25 for 25 straight years! Put that into perspective, and it's mind blowing what TO did here it Nebraska.
  3. Are you kidding? Orgeron a turd? I'd take him any day over Riley and twice on Saturdays. Give me a break. He's 6-2 playing SEC competition, Riley might have a 2-6 record if he were at LSU playing that level of competition.
  4. I think Tre Bryant will bring a explosiveness to the position that we haven't seen for quite some time. I'd like to see our fullbacks get utilized more too.
  5. So what defines a "real fan?" You can blindly support a team and enable the administration that has caused this debacle, or you can start voting with your wallets and purses and let it be known that the current state of Nebraska football is 100% unacceptable. I love my daughter unconditionally and want her to grow up to be a responsible adult. That means there are consequences for her actions, and these are the result of my love for her. In the same vein, if you love Cornhusker football and want it to succeed, you cannot support the current state of affairs at the University. There are a ton of fingers to point: Pelini is gone and Perlman is on his way out. That leaves Eichorst and Riley, and changes must be made. If Riley returns next year with an unchanged staff, you can rest assured that myself as well as many others in #huskernation are going to start holding this administration accountable by not blindly supporting poor choices with our donations, ticket sales, and merchandise sales.
  6. Poor play calling again, we needed to stretch the field vertically to open things up.
  7. Maybe this could would appease Mr. Ackerman from Milford. It could be the new Tunnel Walk song...
  8. Let's put this in perspective. Miles took the Mens BBall team to the big dance, but lost in the first round. There was no conference championship, we were abysmal in road games this year, and he just had three players leave/transfer from the program. I'm not discounting what Miles has done with the program, but in comparison, a similar season for the football program would be considered a complete and utter failure. The two programs simply cannot be compared to one another, apples and oranges.
  9. Muschamp is on very thin ice and it was obvious he had a considerable hand in dictating the drab O Pease ran. Don't see why Beck would take that job. The ice has melted and Muschamp is walking on water. Only Jesus himself could survive a season like that in Florida.
  10. Rumor has it Del Rio was the first choice, but he wouldn't allow an announcement until Denver's season is over. Hayden feared the impact that would have on recruiting and thus took Del Rio out of contention for the job.
  11. Urban Meyer had a 7-5 campaign with Florida in the SEC after Tebow left.
  12. He's tied with Frank Beamer, and I have heard rumblings that Beamer might be on the hot seat. Beamer was 7-6 last year, but he has had considerable success in the past--way more than Pelini. That puts the expectations at a top-tier school into perspective IMHO. If VaTech goes 7-6 this year, I have no doubts BeamerBall will be a thing of the past.
  13. The Mavs vs Heat Finals were in 2011, that's two years ago. Don't count OKC out yet, Durant is definitely not the reason they are losing. Scott Brooks needs to change the lineup, Perkins looks like a senior citizen out there trying to play--he just as well have a walker or a cane they way he moves. LeBron is a more complete player than either MJ or Kobe. He is a better rebounder and passer than either of them, but he is not quite as good of a scorer. MJ is the most prolific scorer and the most clutch player ever. He brought a will to win on the court that will never be seen again. LeBron will probably go down as the second best player in NBA history, because IMHO no one will ever surpass Jordan.
  14. better than Big12 (aka texass conference) The Big XII, Pac 12, and SEC were all far superior to the B1G last year.
  15. That is one part of their take I absolutely disagree with. Oversigning is unethical, the SEC is the king of it, and it ABSOLUTELY gives them a competitive advantage.
  16. Yesterday on SVP and Russillo, Ryen Russillo named Nebraska as the most delusional fanbase. I don't like hearing what he says, but some of it does have merit and gives us some perspective of how we are viewed on a national level. Here's a link to the segment, the Nebraska part is toward the end. http://espn.go.com/e...play?id=9104501
  17. In the mid-80's there was nothing hotter than Adidas. Run DMC made them as iconic as Jordan did for Nike. There are still people who will still think that it doesn't matter, when it really does, in some kids eyes. Not that it's a big deal. Nike is just the cool thing right now. It's been the "cool thing" as long as I can remember.. When has Adidas been "cooler" than Nike?
  18. He should be the best d-lineman we have seen since Suh!!
  19. The BCS title game exposed Manti. He is the most overrated college player in the last several years. There were several defensive players more deserving of the recognition he received this year.
  20. Man were those the days, I was a Nebraska All-State high school football player in 1994 and was obssessed with everything about Nebraska Football. I had dreams of playing there, but ended up with a one semester stint at Doane before hanging the pads an helmet up for good. Not playing in college wasn't all bad though, I remember making a deal with my buddies that we would do shots everytime Nebraska scored in that '98 Fiesta Bowl--needless to say, several shots and empty suitcases of Keystone Light(give me a break, we were broke college kids) later, I had felt the elation of witnessing the greatest team in the history of college football lay the smack down on the Gators. I hated Spurrier then and I still have a strong dislike for him today. That run made me feel the Huskers were invincible, so the progression of events since that day are hard to accept. The period of decline will make the next national title we win will be the sweetest one yet!!! I have a feeling we are closer to that dominance than a lot of people realize!!
