I know Cooper is still here another year - that's why I said I hope Gerry is in the mix this year. But I'm not nearly convinced about Cooper as most seem to be. I'm sure Cooper will play most of the time but I think we'll see a lot more dynamic safety play the following two years with Alexander and Gerry.

Saw that. I REALLY like him at Safety. Has the speed and tackling ability to make plays - something we've been short on at Safety for several years. Hopefully he gets in the mix a lot this year - he and Alexander would be a great pairing for the next three years.

We tried to throw to Carter down the seam several times. I think the first time we actually connected was the Gator Bowl. Trying to hit your TE down the seam "several" times isnt near good enough. Gotta use him in other routes and match ups too. I don't necessarily disagree with you. But it's mainly a numbers game. We run the ball 60% of the time. We had two 50+ reception receivers on the outside. People want AA to get more touches. People want the backup RBs to get more touches. People want to run more screens. People want us to use Turner more. People want the TEs more involved. People want us to pass less. It simply isn't possible to do them all.

Pretty sure when they "simplified" the playbook, the didn't actually change the plays they ran. They just put a lot fewer in the game plan for each week. So they worked on fewer plays in practice during the week to try to focus on running them better. Quality over quantity thing. But they did change how they were doing things after UCLA. They said they were going to do that anyway, didn't necessarily have anything to do with TA playing QB.

Wondered if this would happen. Have thought for last couple months that some might happen with Harvey. Went from starter to non-player and #4 on the depth chart last season. Now he has Coop and LeRoy firmly ahead of him and young guys like Singleton, Martinez, maybe Gerry ready to rock and roll after their RS years. If it is really HJax, best of luck to him but I just haven't seen him be athletic enough for it to hurt us too much....reminds me a lot of PJ Smith. If thats the case unless he goes down a level he's done playing. I don't think he was set to graduate where he could transfer someplace else for a last season of D1. Perhaps I'm incorrect. Not sure what his options would be but it sounds like he's considering leaving. Also sounds like there could be 1-2 more after that but didn't hear any names there.
