  1. Jesus. Poor Bo, he was just perfect. Give me a f'n break. So Pelini wanted to leave Nebraska as early as 2010, and was constantly looking to get out every season after that, and yet Eichorst is the bad guy.
  2. He didn't - that's why he offered him. That's why he was the first guy i the kids house for an in home when recruiting opened up, and Riley went with him. (sarcasm) Must be why other P5 coaches did the same!I don't see the need for 2 middle line backers in this class when we have glaring needs in other areas. The kid may turn out to be a baller, but I'm not excited about this commit. He's an OLB You could be right. 247 had him listed as an ILB when I checked today. It wouldn't be the first time this staff has had guys playing out of position if he is a ILB made to play at OLB. I'm still underwhelmed, regardless. Curious, what are the other times? Also you're underwhelmed, what didn't you like about his film?
  3. Sorry, but you're full of sh#t. He visited here, and chose Louisville well before Bobo was fired. Bobo and Timmy Beck had Kevin Dillman as their QB, who struggled at the JV level in Texas as a senior, and ended up signing with North Texas as a TE. You want to get some people riled up, let's talk about Bobo and Timmy never offering NU legacy Joe Burrow, who will likely be tOSU's starting QB next year. Someone got RILED UP!!! I DID IT!! I mean, you can check the crystal ball predictions that had Lamar, while committed to Louisville, HEAVILY favored to flip. This is similar to many players who have CBs that don't match their commit. Or, you know, you can tell me I'm full of sh#t and "burn me". You've really got me down in the dumps now. Do you not know how to read a calendar? Here I'll put into a timeline you can understand: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- January 29, 2014: Nebraska offers Lamar Jackson June 9, 2014: Sam McKewon & Andrew Ivins "crystal ball" Jackson to Nebraska June 16, 2014: JC Shurburtt "crystal ball's" Jackson to Nebraska June 27, 2014: Luke Zimmermann "crystal ball's" Jackson to Nebraska August 30, 2014: Lamar Jackson COMMITS to Louisville September 20, 2014: Lamar Jackson officially visits Nebraska for the Miami game (Likes the visit, says the game was a great atmosphere, stays committed to Louisville) October 1, 2014: Florida offers Lamar Jackson October 1, 2014: Demetric Warren "crystal ball's" Jackson to Florida November 30, 2014: Bo Pelini is fired from the University of Nebraska January 16, 2015: Lamar Jackson officially visits Louisville January 23, 2015: Lamar Jackson officially visits Mississippi St. January 29, 2015: Lamar Jackson visits Miami (FL) January 30, 2015: Lamar Jackson visits Florida From 12/16/14 - 2/3/2015 - Six "crystal ball's" for Lamar Jackson to flip his commitment to Florida February 4, 2015: Lamar Jackson signs with Louisville Sources: Lamar Jackson Crystal Ball , Lamar Jackson Timeline , Hey, here's the Lamar Jackson thread from Husker Board ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My biggest issue with you and this thread is that you are implying that Lamar Jackson was going to come to Nebraska until Bobo was fired, which flat out isn't true. Yes he visited here, but that's as far as it got. It was going to be Florida or Louisville. We were never really the favorite to land him. The crystal ball's to Nebraska came 1) before he committed to Louisville & 2) before Bo was fired. He wasn't coming to Nebraska whether Bobo was fired or not.

  5. Are we not gonna talk about how bat-sh#t crazy this post is??? I mean my God...
  6. This. If Husker fans want the team to have a shot at the Big Ten Championship, this is who you root for. (All of that hinging on a Husker win today though)
  7. I would guess that most people would agree that the OL is a position group that you would like to have a nice two deep of upperclassmen. Most guys you are going to get are going to need 2-3 years to develop, guys like Nick Gates are the exception, not the rule. Well just look at the the three scholarship recruiting classes that have been here at least 3 years. Too many transfers and guys who didn't pan out: 2012 OL recruits (2016 Seniors): -Corey Whitaker (Been injured most of his career; Career backup) -Paul Thurston (Started a few games after starters were injured/Transferred to Colorado St. before the season) 2013 OL recruits (2016 RS Juniors/TR Seniors) -Dwayne Johnson (Nothing.)- -Chongo Kondolo (JUCO; graduated last year) -Matt Finnin (JUCO; transferred last year) -David Knevel (First year starter in 2016) -Zach Hannon (Nothing.) So those are the Juniors and Seniors.......1 starter and 1 backup out of the group. Taking only 2 Offensive Linemen in 2012 has turned out to be a failure, though it would be nice to have Thurston. The 2013 class, outside of Knevel, can pretty much be chalked up as a failure. Just my opinion, but we should be taking 4 high school OL in each class. 2014 OL recruits (2016 RS Sophomores/TR Juniors): -Nick Gates (Stud / 2 year starter) -Jerald Foster (Out for the season / Would be a starter) -Tanner Farmer (1st year starter - Will likely be out for an extended period of time)
  8. Sub-par recruiting/horrible roster management (mostly by the last staff) is how it got this way. Take a look at the scholarship OL the past 5 years: 2012 OL recruits (2016 Seniors): -Corey Whitaker (Been injured most of his career; Career backup) -Paul Thurston (Started a few games after starters were injured/Transferred to Colorado St. before the season) 2013 OL recruits (2016 RS Juniors/TR Seniors) -Dwayne Johnson (Nothing.)- -Chongo Kondolo (JUCO; graduated last year) -Matt Finnin (JUCO; transferred last year) -David Knevel (First year starter in 2016) -Zach Hannon (Nothing.) So those are our upper classmen.......1 starter and 1 backup out of the group. Taking only 2 Offensive Linemen in 2012 has turned out to be a failure, though it would be nice to have Thurston. The 2013 class, outside of Knevel, can pretty much be chalked up as a failure. Just my opinion, but we should be taking 4 high school OL in each class. 2014 OL recruits (2016 RS Sophomores/TR Juniors): -Nick Gates (Stud / 2 year starter) -Jerald Foster (Out for the season / Would be a starter) -Tanner Farmer (1st year starter) Really good class, props to the last staff on this one. But, once again only 3 guys, two of which were for sure going to be interior guys and Gates had the ability to play inside and outside. Needed another Tackle. 2015 OL recruits (2016 RS Freshmen): -Christian Gaylord (Probably the next guy up at the Tackle spot / Been said many times that he needed to get stronger, sounds like the potential is there.) -Jalin Barnett (Highly rated guy brought in by Cav / High potential / Needs to continue to reshape his body) -Michael Decker (Backup at the Center position / Will continue to be in line for playing time, starting next year) Once again I would have liked to see another OL in this class, specifically a Tackle, but the new staff was put in a tough spot, not knowing exactly what they had. 2016 OL recruits (2016 Tr Freshmen) -Boe Wilson (Almost burned his RS) -John Raridon (Highest rated OL of the group) -Bryan Brokop (Potential to play inside or outside) -Matt Farniok (OT of the future? / Some say he may be better suited inside)
  9. This entire discussion is kind of ridiculous. If Tommy's able to play, he's gonna play. No if's, and's, or but's about it. That's the way he wants it, that's the way Coach Riley wants it, and that's the way the team wants it. You limit or eliminate the designed runs for him against Purdue, and challenge the O-line and RB's to dominate an inferior Purdue defense running the ball. Continue to let Tommy throw the ball 15-20 times, and give him some confidence back going into our biggest games of the year. And then if we have a comfortable lead in the 2nd half, give the ball to Ryker to finish the game. Let the defense and running game win this game, and let's get ready for Wisconsin.
  10. No. We'll get at least 1, I'd guess 2, in October/November.
  11. Damion Daniels. After witnessing Iowa lose to Northwestern and their fans throwing bottles and garbage on the field after they got mad at the officials, should hopefully convince him he needs to be in Lincoln.
  12. RIP Coach. Glad he and the players were able to share this special moment before he passed.
  13. Ed Helms

    Fo Fiddy

Should be. He is robbing the entire state.
  14. That's what color their fans are suppose to wear.........
  15. WTF are you talking about? What's puzzling? That a kid without a Nebraska offer, committed to K-State? And no KSU isn't ranked higher, actually they're 30-40 spots behind Nebraska according to all the "recruitniks"
  16. Awful. Tragic. RIP Sam and Mike. Prayers to the families. The world was a much better place with you two here.
