If it's not tressel, I'm buying the dvd box set of 1995 husker football and playing those games over next year's live games. I will stay off the internet and 4 letter network for 4 months and rewatch the huskers of my youth win a national championship and relive history. My family and coworkers will then proceed to send me to Lincoln State Hospital.

If it is indeed Tressel, it probably just comes down to details with the baggage he brings. I imagine Eichorst and his lawyers are probably working with the NCAA to get clearance/answers, so when the announcement is made he can lay out a clear vision and explanation, removing any initial questions about "show-cause" etc.

No, the guy who beat the team that pulled a train on Solich the following year. You mean previous?I mean the following year Tressel beat the team that Solich couldn't the previous year. So, I mean both. So there. Miami '02 was again studly, but that '01 was in a class of their own, like NU '95.

I just don't think this is reasonable tbh. Do you have any examples of recruits that have been on record saying anything to this kind of sentiment? Maybe at a place like Texas or USC, but the only kids here that we can fairly expect to choose the school over the coach are kids that grew up in the state and were indoctrinated from day one. You are told, from day one, commit to the school, not the coach. Not much else to say. Who is? By who? I've never heard that. That is a very fundamental lesson taught to any student athlete. Yet almost every recruit (unless it is their dream school) commits to a school because of the coaches. It's like sales, you discover what's important and you pitch that, and most buy from those they like - the coach.

I expect a CCG title or bust. The talent is there, the schedule is there, just get it done. And what saunders said is basically what Bo did in his first 3 years. The last four years is where Bo & Co plateaued and cost him his job.

I think certain infractions are worthy of a second chance. Plus coaches can learn from past jobs on how to do things different. It's like Kentucky hoops hiring Calipari. Plus, what JT hid is what other players get away with now and more people want the athletes to get paid. A lot has changed since JT got busted. I admit, the thought of JT would be pretty sweet, but I question his integrity and feel like it's selling our souls for wins...like Kentucky hoops did.

'lucky' with TOs? I mean, Bo has to go, etc, but lucky? Uh, all four of them have been great defensive plays. where have the forced turnovers been all of Bo's tenure? This is luck. Lmao. That's all I can say. You are delusional if you think those 4 turnovers were not great defensive plays. People can dislike Bo and have their opinions, but calling the TOs lucky is as dumb as a statement as I've ever read. A punter forcing a fumble? A strip by Kalu lucky? A pick at the goal line lucky? Man, ppl do need to get over their opinion about Bo and give props where props are due. Those kids on defense made plays, even Tommy made some plays. You can't trash on the coaches and the team when they stink and then discredit the coaches and the individuals when they make plays, that is pathetic. There are obvious flaws and changes need to be made, but don't be a downer just because you want your opinion to be fruitful.

This isn't so much as to discredit you, but from my experiences growing up in the PNW, Nebraska has been a punchline regardless of good/bad, people found a way to hate/joke. Anymore, I really couldn't care less about what our national perception is. About the state? Agreed. It's a fly-over state and people think Lincoln has one stoplight. But about the football team? There used to be a lot of respect, at least among the people I know out here. My experiences were different. Lived in WA from 90-12, and it wasn't until the last few years I found someone that respected nebraska without being a pompous prick. Good, great, or embarrassing, they were arrogant.

I guess we wait to see what the staff does. The moment a RB is offered, they've moved on, if nothing comes then they're fighting til the end and feel confident in a) he signs with NU 2) we feel comfortable at the position and with a small class there are other needs. He would be a great get, but there are other positional needs that will lead us to a title, like OL/DL and a playmaking QB. Running backs are becoming a dime a dozen.
