  1. On the cusp of a thrilling 4th quarter comeback, an attempted onside kick is returned for a touchdown. Both Toure and Manning (on the field as part of “the hands team”) are injured while attempting to recover the ball.
  2. Maybe Tom Osborne would rather stay home on Saturdays and work on his landscaping than watch the games. His neighbors have been making comments.
  3. Can we please stop with this BS? Certain segments of the population have been crowing about a 98% survival rate for the past year and a half. While factually accurate, this minimizes the fact that a 1 or 2% mortality rate is absolutely horrific. What if I told you that car crashes had a 98% survival rate? Are you opposed to seatbelt laws? Or DUI laws?
  4. What is even more unbelievable than your whimsical anecdotes is that you purport to be a man of faith and even preach about things like grace and mercy, yet you refuse to protect the health and safety of your community (let alone protecting your own health), recklessly and happily put vulnerable people at risk, and mock those of us who are concerned about the well-being of others. What would Jesus do? Not this. Your post is disgraceful to anyone who actually strives to "love thy neighbor."
  5. Cincy, UCF, and BYU will never have a conference road game that is within a reasonable driving distance (except West Virginia for Cincinnati). That doesn't matter much to the fan bases because UCF and Cincy don't really have fans anyway. But it is going to suck for the athletes who have to travel.
  6. ohhh...Dabo has hard some hard times at Clemson, has he?
  7. LOL, everyone is already so checked out that no one is even correcting this! Sure, we won last year! Everything is fine guys!
  8. I just want my kids to understand what good Nebraska football looks like. My kids are 12 and 10 and they have never seen it.
  9. Ah yes, white camo. To commemorate our proud military history of fighting in snow. Never forget!
  10. My favorite MCU movies have been the light-hearted ones (Spiderman, Ant Man, Guardians, Ragnorak), so my only concern is that this trailer makes it look kind of dark and somber. However, the MCU writers and producers have generally done such a good job combining humor and character development into their stories that the foreboding trailer does not really worry me that much.
  11. I was about to say that I too have had a rough couple weeks at work, but when it came time to give a couple training presentations today, I pasted on a smile and turned on the charm anyway, and I would expect Frost to do the same. However, I didn't see anything that bad in the clip of Frost's presser. We don't really expect to get a lot of useful info from these things do we? Ever? In fact, this one seemed very Osborne-esque in its dryness and boring delivery. The only difference is winning. So let's win some damn games and not worry about the presser.
  12. I've been having difficulty getting as excited as I normally would, but without consciously intending to do it, I stocked up on bratwurst and beer yesterday and now feel a little less trepidatious about the approaching season.
  13. This. Riley was never a good fit, and when he performed poorly, it led to anger. At that point, the fanbase still had hope that the program could stay relevant and become winners again with the right guy in charge (and we pictured Scott Frost as being that guy). Frost was the perfect fit, so now his poor performance leads to dejection and sadness moreso than anger. Many fans, including myself, are losing hope that we will ever be able to restore our former glory. At this point, I don't think I am alone in willing to be patient with Frost because: 1) I don't know what our other options are, and 2) I find myself not caring as much as I used to.
  14. At Baylor, the coaches and administrators clearly had A LOT of culpability for what happened, and heads rolled because of it. It wasn't just students hurting students: there were multiple failures within the team, coaching staff, and administration that made the problem worse. All of that was clearly realized years ago. The fact that the NCAA took as long as they did to somehow decide not to hold Baylor accountable from their purview (similar to Penn State), is what makes the NCAA process for these matters such a joke.
  15. I was in Frankfort, KY last week, and as you enter town after exiting the interstate, there is a sign that says: "Home of Wandale Robinson, 2018 Kentucky Mr. Football ." Hope he's getting paid for that.

Race walking… someone explain this nonsense to me.
  17. No teacher or any other responsible adult should tell a child to keep something from their parents. Especially if it is an uncomfortable or complex issue. Thankfully, most teachers will not do this. Granted, there are plenty of bad teachers out there, and the linked article does not share both sides of the story. Further, there are plenty of reasons to be skeptical of the accuracy of this story: 1. We live in a time in which idiots like to generate faux outrage over anything having to do with race, diversity, or identity. 2. The story is relying almost entirely on the word of a fourth grader. 3. The source of this story is a British tabloid. 4. Redux is making a big deal out of it. Additionally, fourth graders should certainly be involved in conversations about equity and diversity, but they should be whole-heartedly encouraged to talk to their parents about it. These topics need robust discussions both inside and outside the classroom.
  18. The Disney+ movies for $30 a pop have been a great deal for our family of four. Avoiding the additional ticket prices, exorbitant concessions, and unclean environment is a no-brainer for a family movie.
  19. The Texas A&M atrocity should have been there too.
