  1. I agree. I think we have talent and depth on the O line to complete in the Big Ten West. They just flat out played horrible though. A new coach that Frost trusts has got to improve the situation. The kids also have to change attitude and work ethic.
  2. So, here’s to hoping he earns a $950,000 bonus.
  3. I'm confused. So, if he wins the division, he automatically is in the B1G championship right? So, if that happens, he gets $300,000? And then another $300,000 if he wins it? I'm fine with all of that, the tweet is just confusing.
  4. This is going to be very interesting to watch. I really like KJJ and think he has a tremendous amount of physical talent. However, he's a sort of poster child for showing up in Lincoln not ready to do what it takes to help the program succeed. It will be interesting to see what he needs to do to convince Frost he's ready to be committed to working his ass off.
  5. Both Martinez and Armstrong would have been deadly in TO's offenses in the 90s. Who knows if they would have won an NC because there is a lot of luck that goes with that too. But, if they would have played then, they would be right up with the legends we love from that era. Another one might be Lord too.
  6. Is his lawyer really this stupid? I don't think so. I just think this is the only defense the guy can come up with to try.
  7. Frost's family (parents) have always been a topic of discussion in Nebraska's media along with him.
  8. I alluded to this in my original post. The longer Davison works under Moos, the less this is an issue. Maybe Moos is going to be here 10 years. Who knows? I doubt that though.
  9. Sure...as a fan. But, it's something Mounds and Green need to be concerned about and planning ahead. It's not like Moos is 50 years old.
  10. TO was a coach long before internet and social media made it easier to get crazy fans access where they shouldn't be. Bo's, Callahan's, Riley's extended family didn't live here. So, it wouldn't have been an issue with them. I do remember hearing horror stories about kids or assistant's kids being harassed at school...etc. I could see idiot fans doing stupid stuff.
  11. OK...let me throw this out there. One concern I have is that Frost (and everyone else) right now is very comfortable with Moos. He's done a fantastic job and is exactly what Nebraska has needed as an athletic program. BUT....he's over 60 years old. We've witnessed what a bad AD can do and I'm concerned about who is going to come in after Moos ultimately retires. Wondering if Davison is being groomed for that job. To my knowledge, he has no administrative experience. But, if he works under Moos for 3-4 years, he may get the experience needed to do the job. He also has been involved with the basketball program so it wouldn't be solely concentrated on football.
  12. Definitely respect that. Must set boundaries right now. I'm fairly confident the press will abide by this, hopefully the fans do too.
  13. 20-25 I may be over optimistic...but, that's just the way I am. One thing that might hurt us here in this first class is the early signing period. Many players will be off the market due to already signing and have no chance of flipping them. Hopefully we will lock up a few ourselves so the staff can concentrate on others.
  14. Can people please stop bickering about past coaches? If everyone is excited about Frost, why don't you listen to them and stop dividing as a fan base?
  15. Twitter is the gift that keeps giving with this admin.
  16. I agree with your assessment of the bold. However, isn't it true that the system before the ACA helped some people but royally screwed others? I am all for a system that doesn't screw people. How about if we develop a system where we pay on average for meds and procedures 1/3 of what we currently are in the US. How about a system where everyone has access to that healthcare and doesn't force people to spend $30,000 on premiums or go bankrupt if they get sick or in an accident?
  17. Something to keep in mind here is that Bookie hasn't committed to someone else. I actually thought he would have been a Sooner by now. He started cooling on Nebraska over the summer and when he saw how the season was going and, like everyone, knew the staff would be fired, he de-committed. That is totally a logical thing to do. However, it's very possible that he's been sitting back watching to see who the new staff will be because he's still interested in coming here. If we would have gone out and laid another big turd with this hire, he would have gone to Clemson or OU...etc. Now, he's back to being interested. Hopefully Frost gets in touch with him ASAP to see how far this can go.
  18. I remember listening to the St. Johns basketball game and Davison talking about going to Philadelphia. Cool story from behind the scenes.
  19. I'm so N that I had tears in my eyes several times yesterday. For once, I feel like my kids will actually experience Nebraska being good at football.
  20. You can have a very effective spread offense with a player like this.
