  1. You mean the guy that took over a team that had 3 straight losing seasons? A program that only had eight 9 win seasons and two 10 win season in it's entire history before Dantonio showed up? You think maybe their program was in a far worse spot than ours when each respective coach took over?
  2. 2-0 in the 19'. Altidore and Pulisic are in sync so far.
  3. 1-0 good guys. Pulisic scores early.
  4. Based off this past weeks list it's actually 10. What about competing in the Sun Belt or MAC?
  5. I don't think our defensive scheme is made to make the CBs look good. Plus your top CB being hurt all year and moving your 2nd CB to S doesn't help.
  6. Unless FTW said he wasn't going to cheer for the team because of (insert reason), then I apologize. It just seems rather nitpicky.
  7. It's a prediction. Whether he thinks we win or lose has no bearing on how much of a fan he is.
  8. I think the effect would be minimal if noticeable at all. Like previously said it depends on if any of the current staff is kept and who it is.
  9. I'll add that UCF also lost their starting QB in the game. Rushed for 275 yards with 6 ypc, while holding Michigan to 119 yards with 2.9 ypc. Special teams really made the score more lopsided than it really was. The talent disparities between the two teams, especially Michigan's D vs. UCF's O, were clearly evident. That being said Michigan still wins the game 99/100 times.
  10. Also a good place to park if you're willing to trade a longer walk for way less traffic.
  11. To further build on that let's compare the wins of the two teams based on their Sagarin rating. NU - 45 Illinois - 96 Arkansas State - 103 Rutgers - 108 UCF - 23 Maryland - 55 Memphis - 61 FIU - 156 Edit- UCF beat FIU not FAU
  12. If we were 5-0 right now Eichorst would still have a job. Firing him so early in the year when ADs are usually tied to the coaches they hire (especially Eichosrt beings Riley was such a gamble) makes it pretty clear Riley is next on the chopping block unless he turns the season around. With how we've played and our upcoming schedule I don't see us doing any better than 7-5 and personally think we go 5-7. If Frost's team keeps playing the way they have, there's NO WAY he doesn't get an offer if Riley is fired. It would make the boosters happy and the AD might not be tied to Frost even if he does fail here. If Frost gets hired here it'll be the most obvious hire since Harbaugh was hired at Michigan.
  13. Lofty yea. But as of right now we have a WR commit with the nation's most offers. A CB who if he was 3 inches taller would be a consensus 5 star and top 20 player overall. I don't think getting players of that caliber is unreasonable. You just need the right coach.
  14. Eh. If you're playing for championships, have good recruiters, and are in the national eye, the kids will come. I think those three things are very possible at Nebraska. As easy as it is at tOSU, Michigan, and PSU? No, I don't see us taking tOSU's crown but with the right people in place and a winning program, a consistent top 12 class is very attainable.
  15. This is where Langsdorf stopped reading.
  16. The problem with a big step is if the CB engages you during it the WR will more than likely be knocked off balance and mess up the timing of the route. As far as running around the CB that could work for some routes but you're just playing into what the defense wants you to do by changing the dynamics of the route. I'm personally more concerned with what a WR is doing with his hands to beat the press. That being said I'm no WR coach and don't know if chopping your feet is the most efficient thing to do, just my personal thoughts. I agree with the last statement.
  17. The point of that is to defeat a press coverage. So the CB will be trying to lock up the WR at the line. It's not used outside of press coverage.
  18. The one where you give Riley all this credit for his past players setting career records saying it proves he had good players at OSU and then I bring up a record TA set and you call it objective. When you play/start for 4 years its pretty easy to set career passing records if your offense passes a lot. Of the players you mentioned, Smith and Siminton only played their freshman year for Riley, Jackson his junior year, and Anderson his JR/SR year. BTW Anderson and Smith were both career 50% passers. Anderson threw 41 INTs under Riley in 2 years. If he had set a single season record that year no doubt Riley gets 100% of the credit. But considering almost 3/4 of Siminton's yards came from under a different coach, there's no way I'd give Riley the majority of the credit.
