  1. My heart wants to agree with you, but I'm still seeing jet sweeps in my nightmares... Gotta say 10-4 with blowouts and losses that were given away until it's proven otherwise.
  2. Jerseys are for kids and hot girls
  3. Typical coach speak I'm guessing. "Sloppy, good energy, learning the playbook, ready to hit, a lot of guys are competing..." I only hope for no or minimal injuries. If it were up to me I wouldn't play Martinez any more than necessary. In preparing for the coming seasons the backup QBs will need a boat load of reps. The O seems to be pretty solid and falling into place. No real question marks except for tight ends really. The D on the other hand will be the story. D line and LB ... somebody, anybody needs to step up. The secondary should be as nasty as they've ever been. I would like to see a good emphasis on special teams, mainly defending kickoff and punt return. That has gashed us badly the past few years and our D will need all the help they can get.
  4. I would say there's an outside shot. As long as the key players stay healthy, out of trouble, focused and constantly playing at a high level... who knows how far they'll go. If the defense gets better (which I think they will) it will really dictate the way the season goes. If the D doesn't improve then another 4 loss season it'll be. But if they step up to the plate, I could see a serious conference title run. And say we run the table and win the B1G, there should be no reason we won't be in the national title hunt.
  5. New gun legislation isn't going to cure mass shootings. However, if it reduces the risk significantly, shouldn't it be implemented? If gun murders go down from say 12,000 a year to 5,000 a year... can that be called progress? Wouldn't that be a good thing?
  6. "Hmmm I'm a week away from being drafted in the NFL and becoming an instant zillionaire. I should probably head to O street."
  7. I want him to win just so I can hear that acceptance speech. Lord knows that would be a doozy...
  8. Occasional Conference title, Rose Bowl and National title contention. Top Ten finish too. I'm not saying we have to have all of them all of the time but being in the mix each year should very well be the expectation. I'd say the 70s is probably the model to shoot for. 5 Conference titles, 2 National Titles, 1 Heisman, Top ten finishes every year.
  9. It's relatively obvious Papuchis is a glorified intern. I say make Terry Joseph Co Defensive Coordinator. This would be a nice way of bumping up his pay so we can keep him from looking elsewhere while.
  10. I'll bite O line gave T-Mart essentially no passing protection, the Cotton boy's completely unnecessary penalty, A-Rod's consecutive penalties and a handful of other false starts don't really reflect being "well coached" or "well disciplined."
  11. Perhaps now that Beck has established himself, T-mart has improved dramatically, and we now have awesome depth at RB, Bo be able to put more of his focus on the D. The Offense appears to be in (mostly) capable hands. This should let Bo be able to get back to focusing on shoring up the D, much like he did when he first got here. I think we graduate some talent, but also some liabilities on D. If it were up to me, the offense being the most potent it has been in a long time, I would like to think Bo's added focus and influence on the D could get them to be about as effective as the 2008 defense.
  12. I'd take Mark Cuban's word over Trump's.
  13. The standard excuse is Bo's first couple recruiting classes were lacking. Shouldn't matter. This was a defense chalk full of Seniors. There was more than enough time to coach up the guys we did have, snag some JUCO guys to help, and turn them into a respectable defense. This was unequivocally a coaching failure. I suppose the excuse next year will be, well, these guys are young - got to give them time to learn the defense. That could take years, if it happens at all. I agree entirely.
  14. Don't agree with this at all. Our offensive line was opening up big running lanes against an elite SEC championship level front seven. Our pass protection was poor, very poor, but our run blocking was good, and the skill positions haven't made up for this underachieving bunch - these walk-ons have overachieved no matter what angle you look at it. All season long our offensive line has worn down a lot of teams. Get some more talent and depth there, and we will be just fine. So all of T-Mart, Abdullah, Rex's success is because of our O line and not their own raw talent to find/make plays? Dozens of plays involved Rex getting gang tackled by UGA players while most of our line was standing around watching. I wouldn't exactly call that overachieving. We're parading around Cotton's sons, a kid who never knew what football was until he got to the States, and some small town Neb guys. Sure, they're overachieving because they've become starters, but they've done so because we have so little depth and talent. This has been an issue for a while now. Something needs to be done. Are you trying to say that talented players in the backfield make plays to gain yardage? Hmm....I guess I can't disagree with that. I also don't think I said anything contrary to that. Last time I checked, it's a team sport with 11 players on each side. Congratulations to Taylor, Rex and Co. for being good football players that make athletic moves. Since you're arguing hyperbole, I can try too. Let's trot out the diamond formation, except without the offensive line. I'd like to see how many moves our boys make to gain yardage. I can tell you're getting your panties in a twist, but I'll do my best to remain civil and realistic. I'm saying Rex, Mart and Co are making plays despite the offensive line, not because of them. The line is shaky and inconsistent at best. You yourself said we need more talent and depth. I agree. And sometimes it does feel like the offensive line isn't even out there. It's 5 years into the Barney Cotton show and there has been marginal if any improvement. Something needs to change.
  15. I wouldn't be shocked if we enter the B1G title game undefeated and with a top ten ranking. Most things look to be in our favor for next year. But I just see another Conference title loss, should we happen to make it that far.
  16. Disagree. Do we have problems? Yes, but to make a blanket statement like this is just irresponsible. Really??? Over 400 yards passing today by a nobody QB and there's no problem? . To be fair, Murray isn't exactly a "nobody QB"

  18. New Offensive Line coach. The raw talent at skill positions has made up for this under achieving bunch. The offensive line was outclassed today.
  19. However Jay-Skers are the funniest, in my opinion.
  20. As a casual Chiefs fan, I say K.C. needs to rid themselves of Spioli and go after Lovie Smith or Andy Reid. Heck I'd even take Norv Turner.
  21. This is practically Nickleback. Man, that's a HUGE INSULT! lol I love the signs on College Gameday that say "_____ Listens to Nickelback"
  22. I've thought Beck would have done something creative with the Offense for a long time now. He certainly has the talent for it. But, I'm guessing it'll be the jet sweep and zone read show tomorrow. I honestly don't care all that much what we do, as long as we move the ball efficiently and don't turn it over. Don't get me wrong, if whatever we're running works, don't change it. I just was thinking that the talent on the offense could translate into a more unpredictable attack. Not for the sake of being gimmicky but because our skill players can gash just about anyone.
