The problem wasn't ever really the loudness. The problem is it's only originating from one spot IMO. I would think they could put speakers up around other parts of the stadium, turn the sound down, and it would still be loud and also everyone could hear it about equally well. It's plenty loud in the North, but much is lost by the time it gets to the south. Is it not possible to put speaker somewhere on each side of the stadium? Or can't it work? I'm no audio expert so I don't know but that seems to be the obvious way to do it. Anyone that has that expertise know? It's replacing the old speaker cluster system. The new speaker system will use line array and beam focusing technology. Basically, the speakers will be mounted to create a near-line source of sound. The speakers will constructivally interfere with each other to amplify the directon of the sound opposed to having huge large speakers turned up very very loud.

No wonder the offense has been so anemic at times. The offense is reactionary to the defensive formation, thus an audible is called, then guys have to remember the audible formation, and finally read the lineman to get the zone blocking right. What happened to being stonger, better conditioned, and more determined than the guys lined up across from you? I understand the game has evolved over the last two decades but have the fundamentals of blocking and tackling changed as well? P.S. I'm not buying the explanation for the disappearence of middle screens.

With all due to respect to Taylor and the many achievements attained during his time at Nebraska, it would suffice to say no, he is not going to get drafted. Guys in the NFL get fired for less riskier picks, its cutthroat but its the NFL. It would be awesome if he did get drafted in the 6th or 7th round and I wish him good luck on the next level. Like others have said, if Al Davis was still alive and off his rocker then yes Taylor would definitely have a home in Oakland. He will get picked up somewhere, it just depends what position he is willing to play. I can see a team that runs gadget plays, like the Steelers, pick up Taylor if they can use him in a jet sweep pass/run formation, similar to Randle El.

Don't get Bo Pelini confused with people who actually develop students in the class room. What is Bo a f'ing tutor now? The Bo Pelini known in the state of Nebraska goes like this,"A 9-4 asshat who berates the media, who berates his own fanbase, a man who cannot wait to leave Nebraska, then turns around and expects...wait...feels entitled to love from media and fans.". I don't care how the rest of the board feels about Bo, but brothers, expect another 9-4, at best, 10-3 season, against a soft schedule. Perhaps I have set my expectations too high for Nebraska Football.

Looking back at the "Invasion of South Bend" my guess is that the game will be 80% Husker fans since Miami only has fair-weather Heat fans. Seriously, I am already planning a vacation to Miami for that game. September 19, 2015 will be another Husker home game mark my words.

Playing McCheeseBurger State or whatever does absolutely nothing for the playoff system about to be in place. I think a tough, hard fought loss would be preferable to a savage thumping of some D2 program, SDSU showed us that last year.

How awesome would it be to have a permanent non-conference game with Oklahoma? The yearly, or bi-annual, game vs Oklahoma is the only thing I miss about the Big XII and Big 8. Facing OU every year would help out immensely with the new playoff format in CFB IMO. Having a 10 win season would be impressive if the schedule had games against Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, and Penn State. I was looking at this years home schedule and got a little sad.

The first two home games are against: (1) Florida Atlantic - Uncle Carl is gone along with the Pelini bro's angle (2) McNeese State - Another FCS cannon fodder opponent Don't count on the student section to be full when duds such as those are scheduled. With Okie St. vs Florida St., LSU vs Wisky, and Clemson vs Georgia in week one, why drop money on a blowout when you have such better entertainment, that is more convienient, viewable from a house/party/bar? If the temps climb in to the +90oF range I begin to ask myself; Do I even want to go to the game? Bet your ass I am tailgating.

Who ever pointed out that Sam Keller "tore up" LSU, remember that Hurricane Katrina just hit. Players were essentially refugees, no wonder he had a good game, LSU had way more to deal with IRL than a game against ASU. Also, remember Sam Keller is the guy who threw a cup at another student who took is parking spot and then was cited for disturbing the peace. Landlord aka Sam Keller, did you forget you got cited for that incident?
