  1. I understood your post perfectly, you were trying to justify an unjustifiable position. I merely pointed out that you did not have an argument for Eichorst saying we didn't need to rebuild, and you still don't. Have a nice day. Eichorst said we have the players to win championships. So in his opinion, from a player only perspective, we do not need to be "rebuilt". That is not an all inclusive statement about the entire team. There could be other areas where we need "rebuilding" but he was talking about players only.
  2. Again, he was not suspended. He was, correctly, assessed a flagrant 1 foul, and because he had accumulated enough of them, it resulted in a 1 game suspension. It's his own damn fault that he plays the chippy way he does and it bit him in the ass. And I agree the Flagrant foul was the correct call
  3. So what about 2001 when the Lakers won in 5 2002 when the Lakers swept 2004 when the Pistons won in 5 2007 when the Spurs swept the Cavs 2009 when the Lakers won in 5 and everyone in the entire world wanted to see a Kobe/Lebron finals? 2012 when the Heat won in 5 2014 when the Spurs won in 5 Like I said, not completely rigged. Sometimes the talent discrepancy is too great, plus can't make it too obvious right ? I won't argue, those are fairly good counterpoints and maybe I just like wearing my tinfoil hat sometimes. In my personal experience, out of all the games I've watched, through playoffs and finals, there have been many, many times, where I've seen questionable officiating, something like Draymond Green being suspended for a game (Warriors win if he's not) or some other weird occurrence that affects the outcome of the series or drags it out further. Too many instances to be coincidence IMO.
  4. The thing is, he wasn't DIRECTLY suspended for that play. He was assessed a Flagrant 1 for that foul. That by itself doesn't carry a suspension. But because he'd had too many of them (four I think?) during the playoffs, it was an automatic suspension. Now, that may be splitting hairs. But it seems like a lot of people think he shouldn't have been suspended for that. Which is probably true. But since he has a history, he'd run himself out of chances. It's not splitting hairs. He deserved a flagrant 1 and it's his own damn fault that he can't play the game clean and got enough of them to be suspended by league rule. But it's hilarious that dewiz is somehow claiming that the NBA made Lebron and Kyrie play such incredible games when I'm sure they really just wanted to pack it up and go home. Now you're just assuming and putting words in my mouth now What I'm talking about is the NBA suspending Green. They freakin suspended him the day before game 5....two days after the incident. The NBA reviewed the play and assumed that Green intentionally hit LeBron in his blueberries in which LeBron had no idea that he was even hit in that area. LeBron stated after the game that he had no idea Green hit him there and a journalist had to show James the video. Hell even the commentators believed that it wasn't intentional on Greens part. NBA suspension on Green is a ticky tacky call and laughable at that. Green is Golden States best defender who has been doing an impressive job in keeping James in check and getting into his head. This series benefits the NBA and it's all about the Benjamin's to have this series goes to 6 or even 7 games. So much this. I don't think the NBA is completely rigged, only to the degree it needs to be to make them the most money possible.

This is much less surprising than Bruce transitioning to Kaitlyn.

  6. I guess I don't follow you here. There were quite a few - a couple hundred or so - season tickets available this year that you didn't have to make any donation to get. Just the $399 cost of the seven game tickets. There there were hundreds more that required a donation of either $150 or $250. So there were plenty of tickets available for less than $650 each. I don't know what's left now but there were a lot of them that didn't get renewed from last year. I knew there were one's with a lesser donation but I didn't realize there were any available for no donation. That's much more reasonable, but for me, pretty much the only seats I would want for season tickets are $500 and above/seat. Otherwise I think I'd rather watch from home and not have to bring a pair of binoculars just to watch the game.
  7. I looked in to season tickets this year but decided the price was too much. If it was just the price of the tickets about $800 or just the donation, $1,000, I would have done it but with both it's just not worth it. Go back to the old way and make it so the donation is your payment for the tickets and I think this becomes much less of a problem.
  8. I agree but I have the feeling next week is gonna be a good one, especially after seeing the preview Also, Daenerys is going to have a freaking huge army
  9. I think it will be at least 2:30 or later as well. I agree the Pac 12 does have a vested interest in making it early but there's a bit of a catch 22 there bc a prime time night game is beneficial for both teams.
  10. It's just a good thing the NBA isn't rigged or anything... http://www.complex.com/sports/2016/05/nba-already-posted-cleveland-cavaliers-golden-state-warriors-nba-finals-facebook-page The warriors conveniently covered the spread by 1 last night. OKC just completely stopped playing at the end of the game with enough time left that they should have still been trying.
  11. Paul wasn't "strolling into the end zone", he was running down the sideline, got his foot hit by a diving defender, and it caused him to lose his balance. After Paul lost his balance, he fumbled, around the 5 yard line. Niles Paul had no reason whatsoever to fumble that ball. He kinda became the focal point of that loss, unfairly since everyone stunk that day, but losing his balance doesn't explain why that ball came out. Maybe there was some voodoo curse on Nebraska that day. That would be a more likely explanation for that game. I've posted this before but because this game gets brought up so much I'll post it again. I was a student at the university at the time and went to the game the next day but a large portion of the starters were downtown partying the night before. The only curse on Nebraska that day was the player's stupidity.
  12. I agree with this. I really think the whole #Calabraska thing is going to end up being huge for us (and already has been somewhat). Even if it doesn't end up panning out as well as we all hope, the exposure we are gaining from it is nothing but good for the program. I can't remember a time we've had "a movement" in recruiting, to me that is heading in the right direction. Serious question: Have we ever had a recruiting situation or been in on a school like Calabasas, where we've had so many high profile recruits with serious interest in us, that basically all know each other quite well?
  13. I don't think the firing was a mistake, I think the lack of a solid replacement and the subsequent hires were the mistakes.
  14. Frank took a team with that much talent and went freaking 7-7. That year was the icing on the cake that told me all I needed to know about Frank as a coach. (It was a nice chart until I clicked post, ha) wait so was he a bad recruiter or not lol TO recruited majority of those players

  16. I mean Osborne said so himself... Link:http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2016/01/13/lawrence-phillips-dead-prison-tom-osbourne-nebraska/78767044/ Do you think Osborne didn't care about LP and only cared about winning? I don't think it was mutually exclusive. I don't believe for a second that Osborne handled LP the way he did to help him in the long run. Do I think Osborne had some of his own best interests at heart? Yes. Do I think Osborne didn't give a sh#t about LP and didn't want to help him figure his life out? Not for a second. Look at the way LP spoke of Osborne and kept in contact with him, even from jail. Why would TO even bother maintaining a relationship like that if he didn't care?

  18. Please prove facts of thisGo back and look at the coverage immediately before the firings. It's all there. No. I want to see your proof that the MAJORITY of Nebraska fans didn't approve of both firings. I'd have to dig through the archives, but for anyone following back in '03, it was shocking and quite upsetting for most fans that a long time Husker was fired a season into retooling his staff. If you don't believe me, I doubt a poll is oging to matter. As for Pelini, second chart down: http://imgur.com/a/V0R3n Around 22% wanted him fired. About 60% thought that NU would finish with at least 9 wins last year had we not made a change. There are other polls, but again, I don't want to go waste time digging through OWH archives when I doubt it would change your opinion much. Aside from off the field issues, what cost Solich his job in regards to football is pretty simple really, he couldn't recruit his way out of a brown paper bag. Anybody who watched the games back then saw that the players Solich was recruiting, compared to what Osborne left in the cupboard for him, were night and day difference. As soon as Osborne's recruits ran out and the talent stopped covering up the coaching deficiency, it became pretty glaring there was a problem. For the record, majority of the fans I knew back then were happy with the firing, including myself. I also know very few people who were/are upset about BP being fired. Idk who you hang out with but I guess it's true what they say, misery loves company. If you think Solich was a bad recruiter, you must believe Callahan was atrocious. Perhaps labeling Solich as the bad recruiter is not appropriate. He did, however, let some of his older assistants skate for far too long without pulling their weight. Can we agree there? (Crosses fingers) That may be a better way to say it but good luck convincing CM that we weren't gonna win it all with ol' Barney at the helm. Cue the "But that was a re-tooled staff and that was BC's first season so we will never know what may have been!" Also, that 2002 team was STACKED with talent. You want to talk sh#t about Riley going 6-7 with the talent he had last year. Look at that 2002 roster and tell me there is ANY excuse for going 7-7. Oh and btw, majority of those players were the tail end of Osborne's recruits. But please, tell us more about what a terrible hire Riley was and what a mistake it was to fire Solich.

  20. Interesting, thanks for posting. So apparently South Dakota loves Stanford? Weird. There's NU fans, Iowa fans and what's that third team for NE?
  21. Literally right after I switch my prediction from OSU to Nebraska. Might have to switch back. Forget the previous post, I was a downer from the beginning.
