Has anyone gone to Madison to see the Freedom Trophy in person? Is it cool?

Really? Based on what exactly? Wisconsin has kicked our asses, often in epic fashion with "lesser recruits"??? I don't buy it. Just because someone with a blog says this kid is a 5* doesn't make it so.

If that's all it takes, we could pay Arkansas his buyout and get Bret Bielema in a heartbeat. (not sure why we would want to...)

I learned that Wisconsin just might be the Big Ten version of Texas to our team. But, even Texas has been very beatable since we left.

Wisconsin has played better in every 2d half this season. They ran it in our face with a true freshman all night long. I'm disgusted.

I learned that despite everything, we still have a shot at winning something. B1G West, B1G...even a bowl game. I also learned that my fellow fans fell off the bandwagon. GBR

Shocking that the posters who gave up and supported the boos are now thinking win...only, I’m not shocked at all. FWIW, I hoped we would be in position to win all game. Now we are.

I have seen/heard that sorry line before. Sorry. Nope. The players cannot differentiate. If you can’t support the team, that’s fine. Don’t. But the players are students. I will never boo a team I support. That’s me. You do you. Just understand, nobody in the stadium can tell who it is directed toward.

Where to begin...the flu? That's good place to start. WTF? They were "lucky" to have the right defense in place and better players on the field that resulted in INTs for TDs...I could go on but the fact is clear. We aren't as good as NIU. They came to our house, cashed our paycheck and beat us. All. Day. Long. They beat us. I give some credit to our defense for stopping them most of the game but what is clear is that when it REALLY MATTERED our defense crumbled too. Their last drive made me crazy. NIU is legit. Cheers to them, a program on the rise.

Become? Have you talked to anyone else in the conference? We bought that spot when we sold our collective soul to get away from Texas (and look at the suck from Austin!). It was a money grab. We aren't relevant and likely won't be. the end.

Wow. They are a decent MAC team, we are a B1G team. We should NOT be looking for excuses. We should have paid them $820k and sent them home, period. This is not acceptable.

I learned that our fans are comprised of fair-weather band-wagon fans who bail at adversity. That makes me sicker than watching the joke that today's game was. I'm a Husker fan, proud of it and will continue to be a Husker fan, win or lose. #GBR

Can we now agree to hold off on using the Blackshirts moniker until the defense earns it...if they earn it? Otherwise it's just plain dumb.

I watched the game and saw a passionate coach do what was necessary to keep his players motivated under adverse conditions. He made the play calls and the players executed...now, they are headed to a Championship game and we are not. We are going to Nashville for a meaningless bowl game. At least we aren't Minnesota!
