  1. That's a fair point and I question myself if I'm placing too much stock on Erstad's postseason record which has been so-so in the BTN tourney (9-11 with two good runs) and downright awful in regionals (1-6). Heck, even one of his BTN tourney runs was that wild ride where they were below .500 going into the tourney and made it to the finals against Indiana back when Indiana was rolling.
  2. Agreed. I'd love to be a fly on the wall during practices. I have zero basis for my take but I wonder what Erstad's coaching style is like? He was the ultimate grinder when he was a player and I have to guess that style translates over to his coaching style. When you're not winning games, that grinder mentality wears on you big time and I wonder if the players are starting to tune him out. You can play like Cal State Fullerton if you want but you darn well better have CSF type results then.
  3. Yeah, there's no reason for Moos to use up any political capital on whacking Miles a year early when Miles will do it for him. Sucks for guys like Roby and the others who are essentially wasting a year. I'm not sure if Moos will have to use up much capital if Erstad bottoms out, especially if he can get a guy like Will Bolt from the DVH days.
  4. "Will Bolt please pick up the courtesy phone. Will Bolt to the courtesy phone. Thank you."
  5. Haha, yeah I hear you. Well, I don't think even the most ardent supporter of Frankie can argue he was a better coach than TO.
  6. I'll be curious to see what the LV win totals looks like in a couple months. I have no basis other than my gut but I think we open at 7 (-125)
  7. I give Crouch the nod due to still having a great career despite being at a severe disadvantage with having Solich at HC. Also, taking Frost and Gill's coaching chops into this seems irrelevant to me.
  8. Dude is just looking for his juan shining moment.
  9. My brother went and saw Ready Player One last week. He's 29 and said he caught a lot of the references but wasn't sure if someone say, 25 or younger would totally get everything unless they were a pop culture junkie. On an unrelated note I watched PCU again and just realized that the dude who plays Gavin Belson in Silicon Valley is the guitar player.
  10. Oh shoot, you're absolutely right. Completely slipped by me. Thanks for the heads up.
  11. Great get for NU Volleyball. Getting the former #1 player in the country from Texas of all places...well, take it away Antonio.
  12. So what you're telling me is I should NOT have just spent thousands of dollars on TShirts that say 'Kicker U' plus a social media hype video that has Drew Brown kicking against Kris Brown doing trick shot kicks with explosions coming out of the goalposts when each one makes a kick? For the record, @KingBlank makes a really interesting argument that I hadn't considered.
  13. I would laugh hysterically if SF and company threw a curveball and made this the 'fun practice' you know having the lineman playing the skill positions, trick shot kicking competition, etc thus giving the media absolutely nothing to see.
  14. Yeah, it strikes me as a similar situation to what Bobby Petrino went through after he got whacked from Arkansas. He jumped over to WKU for some image rehab. Whether either party is interested in such an arrangement remains to be seen obviously.
  15. Yeah, I like Gottfried quite a bit. If I'm say...Pitt I say eff it and hire Pitino. They are at absolute rock bottom and literally their entire team is trying to transfer. I'm sure Pitino would love the chance to stick it to Louisville if he could.
  16. I'm willing to switch my vote to Fisher if it means the NU DBs will finally get some consistent coaching for a couple years. Nebraska's DB coaching slot has had more turnover than a fast food restaurant.
  17. I wonder if Nebraska takes an additional kicker if a Pat Smith type situation comes up again.
  18. Thanks for posting up @Saunders, I needed something over lunch to listen to.
  19. Schreiber has been absolutely mashing. It's a lot of fun to watch a guy hit who's completely locked in.
  20. You must've missed Dirk's 8 part massive, massive deep dive into Husker basketball under Danny Nee. Have to think he wouldn't of put forth that effort if he didn't love the university a little bit. I do disagree with your point about the media as the media's job absolutely is to be critical and hold people accountable. I do agree that the tone of those conversations leaves something to be desired at times.
  21. Oh goodness, I forgot about Trust too. I've seen a couple episodes of The Good Doctor, interesting concept and I'll probably end up watching them all at once once it gets released to Hulu/Netflix (if it hasn't already). I tried to get into The Resident but I find the lead actor utterly unlikable which is odd because I generally like his other stuff. I caught a small snippet of an ad for Instinct but I'm pretty in the dark. Counterpoint looks awesome from the ads I've seen. Agreed wholeheartedly about JK Simmons, he is tremendous. If you haven't seen Whiplash, definitely check it out.
  22. Holy crap, Stanley Morgan Jr is effing yoked.
  23. Thanks for the rec @NM11046 IIRC that's the show with the guy who played Ted Mosby correct? I feel like I'm drowning in shows right now. Suits, Silicon Valley, McMafia, Designated Survivor (I know it's cliched but I'm too far gone now), Barry, Billions. Good lord, this is bad.
