  1. Taysom Hill, the 8th year man out of BYU still gong strong.

Pretty sure he's only in his fifth year. Without taking a look at BYU's roster he's probably not even the only guy approaching 30.

Are you sure? I thought he redshirted 2014 due to injury and then received a medical redshirt last year for another injury?

Only 8th year? I heard he started drawing social security already.

  2. That'd be a disaster of biblical proportion. Old Testament, real wrath of God type stuff. Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... MASS HYSTERIA! Maybe we make Read a grad assistant because our grad assistant Tavita Thompson is worth about 250k per year. Heck have Tavita be TE/special teams coach and have read just work on field goal kicking and kick-offs. In reality move him into an administrative role and have him just work on field goals or just watch practice and have a laugh with coach Riley.
  3. Bookie? Even if he is a silent commit he isn't committing until the 31st of next year. We are really good at losing silent commits too apparently, so lets just don't your hopes up. Hopes aren't up, was just providing another player that could possibly be the silent commitment from Calabasas. I was semi sarcastic with the second part of my post so my bad on that. With him taking visits I doubt its Darnay, but it could be Bookie I just think Bookie loves Nebraska. If Bookie silently commits here and takes visits that's fine, I really think we get Bookie and not Darnay and I am ok with that. The silent commit part was mainly a reference to Dez Fitzpatrick who we lost in 2015, do you know anyone else we have offered from Calabases? If not I would say its gotta be Bookie because Darnay is not as riled up about Nebraska as the others.
  4. If we beat Wisconsin and take care of our other games, but lose to OSU, we are heading to Indy to play Michigan/OSU.

  6. Guys I think we need to fire Bruce Read and hire..... Special Teams
  7. Yea no kidding, I think they have taken notice of us. Rumor has it that they have sent Steve Sarkisian to spy on the Husker practices. Some of the players have reported seeing drones flying above them and an odd man with shades watching them practice. I assume he has been sent to OSU as well just in case Bama has to play them in the CFP. Back to the topic on hand, I do not know how Alabama has better GSR than us, but the facts don't lie. We need to get that up to 90 percents and anything around there looks really good.
  8. It's funny how ESPN says Louisville "yawns" past Duke. They expect them to blow everyone out of the water that isn't ranked. I don't think anyone can be taken lightly, but you don't just blow out teams every week because you blew out a bunch of teams in hte beginning of the year.

Football has never worked that way, but a lot of people seem to think football works that way.

Also, why are we not talking about how much Lamar Jackson looks like Randy Gregory?

Louisville got lucky. One of the worst fumble/no fumble "play blown dead" calls (next to Ozigbo at NW) this season. Went from 10-7 Louisville with Duke ball inside Louisville 15, to 2-3 plays later 17-7.

  11. I mean the services rate him as a four star, so I would think he is pretty good. What if some kid in Nebraska put up these numbers, would it not be as good because they are going against questionable competition? I know you're not trying to hate, but I'll take what the experts say and what the coaches say on this kid. I don't believe we will land him, but I don't think its fair to judge this kid based on the competition he plays, he is really talented.
  12. Ok, I gave my analysis on the remainder of the season and gave a bunch of different scenarios on how Nebraska and the teams we play will end up. This adds nothing to the discussion about how we will end up in the coaches poll. I don't understand the meme, but if you disagree explain instead of throwing out memes. I think I quoted the wrong post, but have consumer too much alcohol to sort it out at this point. Let's consider this a drive by memeing and move on, ok? Lol, I didn't mean to sound to offensive in my post. It was a funny meme I just didn't mention that cause I was confused why it was directed at me. Cheers to a great finish to a great start to the season.
  13. Yea I agree with this. I think Stoops and Kelly stay though, and I wonder who USC gets if Helton gets canned. Herman will probably stay, but anything can happen with the coaching business.

  15. If we can land this guy, we have a chance to get up to three five stars in this cycle. If we don't land him I don't know who our plan B is because it is unlikely we get Jackson either.
  16. It seems some of the coaches also are taking the bye week to see their kids play.
  17. Wyoming is 4-2 and will probably make a bowl game Indiana should make a bowl. Wisconsin will, Ohio State will, Iowa will, Oregon probably won't Minnesota should and Maryland might make a bowl. That would mean 7 of the teams we play will probably make a bowl, but I will say the realistic scenario is half the teams we play will make a bowl. Indiana or Maryland or maybe both would be 6-6, Minnesota 7-5, Iowa, 7-5, Wiscy 8-4 or 9-3, Ohio state 12-1 and Wyoming 7-5. Lets say we lose to Wiscy and OSU we would be 10-2 and would probably be ranked around 16. Lets say Wiscy goes to Indy and we sit at home and wait for the bowl game. I would predict Outback bowl vs .Tennessee or Florida. Lets say we win that game and are ranked around 12th like we are now. Best case we go 11-1, lose to OSU and head to Indy to face Michigan/Ohio State, if we lose that we go to a major bowl game and I would predict we play a really good SEC or ACC team, if we win we make the playoff as a four seed and play Alabama. We play Alabama we would lose by 15 or more points, and if we make a major bowl I would say we lose a close on and at the end of the year we would be ranked around 10-12.
  18. Really like our chances with Damion, if we get him DT recruiting is done for 2017. Unless one of our DT's decommits from the team, we should be good with three.
  19. Lets just say its a good problem to have two or three really solid running backs.
  20. You forgot Tyler Shelvin, but I would put him in the "I'm interested in Nebraska" but he hasn't visited list. 1. Lewis- 50% 2. Sarrell- 35% 3. Holmes-25% 4. Shelvin-10% 5. Peoples-Jones-2% 6. Jackson-1%
  21. That makes sense, I was thinking Joseph Lewis when I saw it but realized mom wants him close to home. Anyone got any other recruit who's mom loves Nebraska that we know about?
  22. I can't find Mav's scholarship breakdown (pin it Mav?) but if we redshirt everyone coming in, combined with last year's complete miss, we got Mick, the Davis Twins and Natter for the season next year. Am I missing anyone? I don't like that depth. Nater is a DE, you are missing Peyton Newell and after him whatever walk-ons we have. Rath is a senior, so he will be gone too, unless I am missing something on him? Regarding Young, he is probably the third or fourth option on our board behind Daniels and Shelvin.
  23. Good info Mav, I think for the Indiana game we throw in a few wrinkles for that game. Since we have so much time off we might even try a flea flicker or something like that to try to catch Indiana off guard. Indiana has a bad pass defense but a solid run defense. I think we could wear them down with ozigbo and Newby in the fourth with a lead. I am wondering if we will get that game this year where we are going to be really pass happy. I hope we don't have that game and if we do, it would probably be OSU because we would be trailing in the game. Really want to see better creativity in the run game, have Newby go outside the tackles more like he did with that big run against Illinois. We don't need to run straight at our opponents, the Mich State running gameplan was really good last year, and with Ozigbo he can probably break some of those runs that Cross couldn't. Soften defenses up with Ozigbo and than have Newby break one up the middle or outside the tackles, it seems Newby always starts, so this doesn't happen often. I can see the coaches thinking that Newby tires them out with big play runs and Ozigbo pounds through tired tacklers after he does this. Anyway, we need some better run plays in my mind or OSU and Wiscy will feast on our running backs for short gains.
