I'm of the same opinion.Growing up, not everyone got a bowl. It was a reward for a great year. The record needed is so much lower now. Those extra practices will be huge going into year 2. NU with 5 wins probably gets a bowl still. Our traveling fanbase is attractive.

There's a difference between support & confidence. Support vs confidence for team &/or staff. I'd wager 99% here support the team. At 3-5, it's normal to lose confidence in a staff. It's fine to be unconfident in a team's chances. Regardless of confidence, you support the team. Staffs come and go. The team will always be here. Support the kids is the bottomline.

What stands out most, is that we are in need of a new Devaney. Devaney had Nebraska Men & a couple buddies. He was winning before he got here. He kept winning. He changed offenses and won even more. So, is this a formula for who we hire? Was he a winner prior? With a system that can be realistically ran at Nebraska? Using "Nebraska Men" who know how to calibrate it to our state?

We salvage what we can. Rooting for Husker losses isn't right. A couple 3-9 seasons might be necessary though. Cleans out bad blood. Shows patience to a coach. Gives us valid reason to move on. When you hit the bottom, the next coach can only bring it back up.

I don't miss them. Big Eight was our gal. She changed. Gone crazy. You don't stick it in crazy. We got out.

As far as Tressel goes, how do you know he "probably has 0 interest"? Have you spoken to him personally? Throw $5-mil at him and make him say no.5 million changes his mind.YSU President can't be as fun as coaching.
