Starting this one early for those of you who want to participate. If the 2nd half looks anything like the 1st, I'll be going to bed early. What I learned was we are good enough to squeak by perceived lesser teams but we will get seal clubbed by good teams. We went 7-0 because of our schedule and because we don't quit but mostly because of who we have and haven't played. tOSU has better athletes at every position on the field. Our line play is not even close to cutting it in the B1G. Our OL doesn't open holes and doesn't give the qb any time. A wet paper bag would be as effective. Our defense cannot get pressure on opposing qb's without blitzing. Can't and never does. Our coverage is too soft. We are slow. I'm done. It's too depressing.

Bigger, faster, stronger

They have better athletes all over the field. Hell their kicker is faster than our return guy.

you big liberal, you! Yeah,that's me It probably won't pass with all the tightwads here in Weld county but our school district really lags behind the state average for funding. I think they've been trying every election for the last 25 years and it's probably been that long since one got approved.

Just completed my ballot. Actually pretty easy this time around except of course for the big one. 22 frikken options for President and not one worth a sh#t. I spent way more time contemplating that one vote than everything else combined. I thought the amendments and initiatives and all that BS was going to be tougher to figure out but they were pretty easy once I looked into them. Voted no/against everything except I did vote to allow non-affiliated voters to vote in Colorado primaries and for a local tax increase for the school district and I think I voted to switch Colorado from a caucus system to a primary system. Was a little unclear if that's exactly what it would do but it will allow more non party affiliated people to get involved in selecting candidates at the time of the primaries. That can't be a bad thing considering what the major have been doing to/for us lately. Huge list of judges up for retention...didn't vote on any of them. I also didn't vote for anybody that was running unopposed-usually don't unless I know something about them. BTW, I didn't vote for Clinton or Trump even though CO is a state that is in play. Just couldn't force myself to cast a vote that would actually affect the outcome. Only recognized 4 of the 22 choices. Didn't like any of them and hated a two of them. Pretty sad situation for a Presidential election.

Every once in awhile when I'm feeling fancy, I'll go with a little cream or maybe a Latte (no flavor though, never feelin that fancy, unless it's like Frangelico or some kinda liquor then maybe if I'm not driving...did I mention I was out driving the other day and.....wait, wut were we talkin bout?)

Ha, me too. Remember those stacks of cards? Never did interest me. We used to play a poker game called Anaconda. Deal seven cards, pass 3 to your right, discard 2, put your 5 cards face down in order then roll them 1 at a time...betting every step of the way. Fun times.

I've been looking for the silver lining to this election cycle. This may be it.

I think so, yes. To a large degree.I think he cost us several games last year by insisting on throwing waaaay too much. I gave him a lot of credit in the Oregon-Northwestern-Illinois stretch for getting TA a lot of easy throws and sticking with a run-heavy game plan.However, the last three games he's kind of reverted back towards last year. The easy throws have become far less frequesnt - though they did reappear late tonight. And he's done a better job sticking with the run but the last three games he's stuck in a right-up-the-middle rut. Against Purdue 80% of Newby's carries were right up the middle. It wasn't quite as bad tonight but still way too much. You have to do that some to keep the defense honest but it should be 70% outside, 30% inside, not the other way around. Especially with a back that's as good in space as Newby. Agree with the bolded. The first 5 games, Langs really exploited the defenses. The past 3, not so much. We can talk about injuries to the OL, Carter, etc all day long, but the end of the day he is the OC and has to find a way to counter aggressive defenses. He seems to have reverted back to his old ways. Running to say we run with no play setting up another, passing to TA's weaknesses and ignoring what was working.... What happens when he doesn't have the Jimmys and the Joes to do that? I'm watching FSU and Cook just scored on an outside run. Except it was called inside zone and he bounced it. We don't have that guy right now. Haven't since Ameer. If this is true....and "we don't have that guy right now"......that's on Riley.How do you figure? Because Riley is in his second season and his business card shows his title as Head Football Coach. When was the last time we didn't have a "difference maker" at running back? TheSker- Just wanted to take this opprtunity to welcome you back to the board. Your absence while the team was compiling a 7-0 record was....uh, noticeable. Many posited that you would return when/if the team lost a game and you did not disappoint. I just wish everyone could be such a great and supportive fan as you. You really are a special one.

1-2, 15-12 overall +$180

As much as I'm tempted to blame this one on Langs, the simple truth is their defense was better than our offense (and our defense) and their offense made a few more plays against our defense. That's it. Sure it's hard to understand why we attempted so often, unsuccessfully the vast majority of the time, to run straight at them between the tackles. Sure it seemed like we had more success on the perimeter. But our O line is just not good enough to go up against a defense like that and Tommy, the gamer that he is, is not going to beat a good D with his passing and we had no run game to speak of. Our guys did about the best they could and nobody hereabouts probably wants to hear it but, the better team won. We didn't lose because we quit or because of a few uncalled penalties. Langs really had nothing to go to because nothing really was working. This one hurt. Let's hope they can bounce back and get the Buckeyes.
