  1. Not sure if this is the right place for this but my brother-in-law, who lives in Lincoln, said he saw RB at the Lincoln CD and he was meeting with TN. He is convinced it means RB is probably THE guy.
  2. Bruce Jenner....WTH happened there? I used to eat Wheaties out of that guy's box. A couple more procedure and that will have a totally new meaning.

  3. The definition of irony; The same person complaining that Bo was not given an 8th year, insisting that his replacement must accomplish more in 3 to 4 years (or in the case of some idiots, 1 year). Yeah, that makes sense ya buncha Einsteina.
  4. This is great news. These threads are great. Glad I logged on tonight.
  5. If I'm SE, I ink a deal with Tressel, wait a week to announce it to the public, and during that week I put $7.9M on Tressel being the guy in Vegas. Winner winner chicken dinner.
  6. Yeah, fauxpelini and TWOS are/were funny and highly entertaining. But it has been so long since we excelled on the field that we have lost sight of why these things came about. It is because we have been bad and all we could do to deal with it is make fun of it and laugh at it. I'll trade that away for having a respectable on the field product that competes for championships and doesn't totally choke against decent teams. If change results in not giving up 408 yards to one player and the loss of fauxpelini, I can live with that.
  7. HANC- We aren't going to "turn in to" that Michigan, we are already them. We ARE the program that was once great and has been irrelevant for 15 years. Nothing to fear by trying to right that situation. It can't get any worse than it has already been unless a person has some misguided attachment to 9 wins vs the little sisters of the blind. Pretty sure anybody can come in here and still get minimum 9 wins with our schedule in the the B1G west. There really is no excuse for us not owning our division.
  8. Walks, it'll be OK man. There are lots of possibilities and a huge number of them have more potential than Bo had. Forcing him to replace coordinators was never going to work and he was too stubborn to do it himself. I have a very good feeling about the short term future of this team. As for the guys that we could say "oh yeah, he's the guy" Tressel and McElwain are just two. I happen to believe it will be one of these two and I couldn't be more excited. We knew what we were going to get with Bo, 9 lackluster wins and a couple beat downs at the hands of competent teams with no hardware to show for it. Be happy that we can now hope for something more.
  9. Completely agree, I think we all understand, Nebraska doesn't get this right.....................this program is done for, for a very very very long time. This could cripple this program if it isn't done right. When you say a "very very very long time", do you mean like the last 15 years long time? Call me an optimist but I don't see it taking as long as it already has been.
  10. That's a bigger accomplishment than Pelini has had.
  11. OK, time to pop my cherry on the ignore feature. TheSker gets credit for being my first. But there will be a few others added today as well. I would say it's been a pleasure reading your posts, but it hasn't. Asta la vista.

  12. Why do we have to have hardware one year from now? You really expect instant gratification? Yes. Without question. At least you don't need to worry about anyone accusing you of being reasonable or rational or "null". Nah, not worth getting suspended. Have fun throwing your little hissy fit and still not committing one way or the other. You really had this situation pegged....haha.
  13. It really was a combination of things. 1- No wins that mattered 2- Losing in embarrassing fashion 3- He created a toxic environment that pitted the team against the fans and media. For me, it had nothing to do with angry face Bo and his sideline antics. Hell I liked that about him (except when he was too busy chewing somebody's ass instead of leading the team)
  14. Don't care where he goes but hopefully it is somebody we play. He has shown he can't stop a decent rushing attack. I want to face his team every year and set some records of our own.
  15. This is the way it should be. An AD shouldn't force a HC to make coordinator changes. Bo got to do it his way just like the next guy will. If Bo would've made better decisions for his subordinates, he might still be the coach. He didn't and that's 100% on him so it was time to move in another direction.
  16. This^^^^^ Any of these guys would be worth keeping. We'll just have to wait and see. The fewer holdover the better imo. That would mean the new guy has contacts which would also likely mean he has some good experience. Honestly as long as Bo, Beck, and Paps are gone, it'll all be good.
  17. You know where the door is. I suggest you use it.
  18. Well this is real special. Sounds like you're not a Nebraska fan but rather a Pelini fan. Maybe you should take your message board participation to where ever Bo lands.
  19. Some of ya'll need to dial it down a few notches and step back from the edge. Instead of focusing on everything that could go wrong, try looking at what could improve. The only people that should be unhappy about this are our conference opponents.

We have money to throw around. Big time coach with big time coordinators.

Shoulda kept bo. At least we knew what gonna happen. Depressing. But les stressful.

I think our position is incredibly strong at the macro level. We have lots of $$ and the names being thrown out there are not just hot coords. We can hit a grand slam here and the roster, especially on D, is stacked.

  20. Funny how all the Bo backers are in here predicting the worst as far as player defections. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it all shakes out. I'm sure we'll lose some recruits and maybe a few current players but they will be offset by players the new coach attracts. Let's not get all goofy here.
  21. I think the reason there is so much negativity and thE complaints are being repeated over and over is because the people that want Bo out feel strongly about it and, for many of us, it is all we can do. Maybe we feel we are helping shine light on the problem and this is really our only outlet for contributing or interacting with other devout Husker fans. I live in Colorado, it's not like I have a plethora of people I can vent to about the joke of a coaching staff we have. If my constant pissing and moaning helps influence one person that could affect change, then it's worth it for me. I understand that it may get old reading the complaints but, you are in control of that and you can stop anytime you want.
  22. The only interest I have in Husker football at this point is hearing that Pelini and his whole staff are done at NU. Anything short of that announcement and I could give 2 sh#ts.

  23. So who's it going to be? My money is on Tressel but my hope is for McElwain.

Do you mean for the OC position? Because Bo is not getting fired, I'm afraid.

Shut your mouth. Bo IS getting fired. He has to, for my sake. And I'm extremely important.
